Great place to stay. Enjoyed having coffee on the deck in the morning overlooking the beach before heading to Acadia for the day. Host was very responsive and property was as advertised.
Wonderful stay! Access to the bay right outside the backdoor was one of the best parts, our youngest (8) couldn't get enough of exploring the waters edge, critters, etc. Beautiful sunsets across the bay and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay for our our family of four. It was close enough to the National Park but far away to feel like you were out and away from the crowds. Would stay again for sure!
We were a group of 5 ladies. We came to Maine to have a girls trip to celebrate our 40th birthdays. The size of the house worked well for us. We loved the location, next to the beach, close to the National Park. The deck was very nice and we all enjoyed the views. We loved sitting out there and looking at the stars and having dinners. We enjoyed walking on the beach and a few of us even went in for a swim. The kitchen worked well for us. Everything thing we needed was available. The oven was pretty small and took longer then usual to cook, but was adequate. The hot water in the house had a sulfur smell which was pretty off putting for drinking and showers. There was information about the electric. They ask you not to run two appliances at once. We did blow a fuse while we were there and the direction were not quite right. But after turning everything off and waiting 10 minutes were we able to get everything back on. The staircase to the upstairs was very steep. I did not like using them. The rooms were clean and I thought the beds were comfortable. There was no doors on any of the rooms upstairs and that was pretty disruptive for late night trips to the bathroom or sunlight coming in. I didn't get very good sleep due to that and subpar blinds. We did enjoy the games and did an entire 1000 piece puzzle during our stay.
