The outstanding feature of this hotel is its location. Easy access to train station and across the street from Porta Nigra and the old town. The hotel itself is comfortable and a bit old-school, we had a spacious room and the largest bed I have ever seen.

The hotel is in an excellent location to see the city, it really could not be more convenient. Keep in mind that the hotel is on a busy road so if you open the window to get fresh air you will have lots of traffic noise and if you are in the parking lot side there is no view and additional noise. The hotel was clean and well maintained considering its age. It could use some new paint and safes in the room for personal items. It is older and parts of it are showing that. However, the staff is friendly and helpful and the location simply can’t be beaten for convenience.

This is a great hotel to stay in Trier. It's very convenient and the ruins are nice, but the overall feel of the hotel is dated. Would definitely stay there again, but it needs a facelift.

My only complaint is that I paid parking as a guest of the hotel. I was told that the parking was paid until 5 pm on my last day of stay. However I left the hotel 10 minutes before 5 pm, the ticket was invalid already. I have to back the car to the parking lot and got another ticket from the hotel. It’s not a big deal, but annoying. The hotel should honor what they have promised and make sure their software is calibrated to the correct time.

a 2 star hotel that somehow checked all the boxes for 4 star rating. better book a 3 start somewhere in the historical center. rooms smell and the least they could've done is place new toilet papers before our arrival.

This is the perfect place to stay when visiting Trier. The view from our rooms was amazing. It was nice to be so close to the Porta Nigra. The breakfast buffet was very good as well.

Perfect place to stay!

Location was right across the street from sights, dining and shopping. View of gate from room was incredible! AC wasn't great, but the room has a huge window that you can open and a cool breeze blows in easily. They also provide a nice fan that keeps the room comfortable.

Amazing location right next to the Porta Nigra with all the facilities you’d expect of a major chain 4 star hotel. The bathroom was looking a bit tired but otherwise the room was great and there is a spacious underground garage.
