This place is paradise! We stayed for a week in the Beachfront Plunge Pool room and we couldn't be happier with our choice. La Zebra is truly a luxury boutique hotel with the ideal location, impeccable hospitality and delicious food. The room was beautifully decorated and the housekeeping staff kept it sparkling clean through our stay. The turndown service was a warm touch and we really appreciated the little surprise treats every evening. The room came with a reserved beach bed which was amazing. The beach bar staff were so friendly and prompt with keeping our mezcalita glasses full! We loved the restaurant as well. Special thanks to Felipe, Roger and German who were all so polite, knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. Another great perk is we could walk to the neighboring Lula hotel and get resident rates on their wellness classes (AMAZING studio!) and fantastic spa treatments. We also appreciate La Zebra promoting local artists by displaying their vibrant pieces on the property. We will definitely be visiting again! No complaints!

We had a sea view room with a large balcony. The room was clean, spacious and right on the beach with a wonderful view. Housekeeping was efficient and all staff were friendly and helpful. My partner and I looked at SO many options before booking La Zebra. We wanted to experience Tulum in a relaxed way. After reading reviews (like this one, I hope!), we landed on La Zebra thanks to its humble, family-friendly, safe, and gorgeous location. A week or two before our stay, the concierge WhatsApped asking if we had any questions, needed transportation, or wanted help booking activities/restaurants. This was incredibly helpful and made us feel so welcome. Arriving at La Zebra is like a dream. The staff immediately welcomes you with complimentary drinks and gives you a quick tour of the grounds. Our room was SPOTLESS, big, and gorgeous for the two of us. The bed was very comfortable, the AC worked like a charm and the shower, well, I'll let you see for yourself. My partner was on the fence about getting the plunge pool LOL we used it every single day, multiple times a day. The staff maintained the water, foot bath, and area around the pool. This is your sign: get the plunge pool. Each room opens to the direction of the ocean, with a few overlooking the ocean. We didn't get a room with a view, but in fact, we liked it better because it offered us the privacy we wanted. All plunge pool rooms are on the ground floor-- it's like walking out into paradise. The staff is incredible, warm, hardworking, and so friendly-- the waiters, cabana crew, front desk, room service, and everyone in between. The food is SO FRESH, local, and made with love. Will return soon <3

We absolutely loved our stay at La Zebra. We were a family of 4 (child ages 16 and 11). We stayed in the ground floor beachfront suite which was LITERALLY right on the beach. It was beautiful, very high quality, excellent service, and really peaceful. It was quiet at night. The location was fantastic - walking distance from all the best restaurants but far enough away from the beach clubs to avoid the noise. There was a small pool upstairs by the bar. We wished there was a public use hot tub since we didn't have one in our suite. The staff were very helpful and helped with transportation and excursions. We felt very safe the entire time.

Very well run resort. The staff are amazing. The rooms are nicely sized. The resort is centrally located in town. The restaurant is very good. They keep everything very neat and orderly and clean, including the rooms. Although the hotel lacks a gym and a really nice big pool the beach is incredible and the lower price makes it all very worthwhile.

The property was a beautiful property located strategically close enough to beach clubs with loud music and far enough to have a relaxing time if required. Still walking distance from all the nice clubs and restaurants. Do yourself a favor and make sure you take a room with all view of The ocean. Sunrise is just stunning in Tulum.

This property is Amazing, the white sandy beach is beautiful!! Service is excellent and the penthouse was just marvelous!! Overall Amazing Vacation!!

Lovely property on the beach

We spent just two nights at La Zebra to bridge our extended stay in the area and it was lovely! Juan Carlos, at the front desk, took great care of us from minute one. He was attentive and kind, and a great rep for this property. We also interacted a bit with Esteban at the front who was great as well. Jose and his crew made quick work of our (very heavy) suitcases, and got us situated in the parking lot. And lastly, Roger took care of us at the beach! The property is very charming, perfectly located on the quieter side of Tulum Beach, and a wonderful intimate setting to kick off our month-long trip.

Stayed before. Not again.

Excellent restaurant and hotel service for this aging place. Bedspread was ratty. Sinks cracked. Five new layers of paint can't cover things up. Worst part is that they've turned their beach and beach bar into a "beach club" with people bringing their own boom boxes, parties, etc. That's great up the strand at the nonhotel beach clubs but not at a hotel with expensive rooms. Don’t get me wrong-we like clubs like Ziggy's but not at our hotel.

My husband and I enjoyed our time spent at this hotel in Tulum. The beach club was a highlight with comfortable lounging beds, attentive staff, and delicious drinks. The property is well-maintained and the restaurant, common areas, and hotel room are beautifully decorated with wood furniture and colorful linens. We were greatly appreciative that all the employees of this hotel were hospitable and kind.

We had a great experience at La Zebra which is located right on the beach. Employees were very welcoming and helpful. Room was spacious and clean. The restaurant onsite was tremendous. Would definitely return.
