Amazing private pool & perfect location
Wow! sorry it took a while to write a review. My husband and I came back to Tulum to celebrate our second anniversary. We were already familiar with the area and stayed in Aldea Zama/ Luum Zama again, which is where this unit is located. It is safe, beautiful/, and gated. The location is right between the beach strip and downtown so all you really need is a bike to get around during the day. Taxis are easy to get at the gate with the attendants for evening trips. Have pesos for taxis!
The unit itself is total Mediterranean boho vibes. Very clean and sleek. The POOL! omg the pool. It huge. Like 20 feet long. Its all to yourself. A fence surrounds the huge backyard so you feel pretty private. We spent every day and every late night in it. We loved the touch of the candles and the little pillow lounge by the pool.
The communication with Lola, the property manager, was beyond great. She had helped us so much with the few things we needed. She had bikes ready for us just outside the unit. She set us up at a beautiful new beach club called Vagalume. Do not pass it up. It is a bit pricey but worth it. Best food, drinks, DJs on the strip outside of papaya playa project. The pool at that club is the best in Tulum. Lola also greeted us and said goodbye to us in person and that was special and made us feel so welcome.
We will definitely be back and next time stay in the penthouse.

**for those of you who have never been, much of Tulum is in the jungle. There are mosquitos and spiders. It is normal so do not be surprised if you see a couple.
