Good location, Jobos great, but hotel staff...meh

The room was clean and comfortable. The fridge was really small and no microwave. By far, the staff and service at Jobos (restaurant and bar) was the best part of our stay at the hotel. As far as the hotel staff, they were not very accommodating for us. We asked for a late checkout at 2:00 because of the event timing for a swim meet on our last day. This was agreed to at the front desk, but about 20 minutes later we received a call in our room. They said the latest we could check out was 12:30 due to the cleaning staff schedule. When we were packing up the room, one of the hotel staff stopped by the room at 12:30 to check to see if we were out. It was a rather disappointing and frustrating end to our stay after we were there 4 nights and spent a good amount of money at the hotel. We really needed some extra time with the late checkout so my daughter could get some rest before the last swim session. The hotel is in a great location, but the staff was not proactively welcoming or accommdative.

Blues concert with the legendary Lattimore

It was amazing, I was there for Blues concert. The artists stay there too. I really enjoyed meeting them etc.

It is a lovely space. The local touches are especially fun in the decor for travelers who are tourists. Dinner at Jobos was great.

I enjoyed Hotel Tupelo. However, it feels overpriced for the quality of the rooms, great example of this is the showers, $500 for some of the worst water pressure I’ve ever seen in my life! very frustrating, especially when you’re paying a premium.

Great hotel with comfortable beds and good customer service. Only thing missing - no microwaves which is difficult with a child who has medical issues and can’t eat at restaurants but they graciously used the break room microwave when we needed it.
