Flat fine but checkin terrible

The flat is just an ordinary but perfectly serviceable flat in an area that was convenient for us. But the checkin experience was a nightmare - we arrived to find one of the keys needed to get in was missing. We tried calling but got no answer, and sent messages to the hosts telling them. They refused to bring a new key, and instead insisted we had to go to their office on the other side of town to pick one up. We did this, at our own expense, and returned to the flat. We got there to find they had given us the wrong key. They still refused to bring the correct key to the flat, so we had to go to their office on the other side of town again, where we eventually did get the correct key. However, this whole process took a couple of hours and we missed part of the event we had visited Turin for At no point did the hosts apologise, and they did not respond to requests sent via Vrbo for a partial refund, or at least reimbursement for our metro fares we had to pay to go and get the new keys twice. If you rent this place, be sure to arrive in good time as they say they are not reachable after 10pm and you could find yourself locked out with nowhere to stay.
