A beautiful home and gardens situated in the Scottish countryside. The space was wonderful and the hosts gracious. Would come back to Silverstripe in a heartbeat!

Charming Country Cottage in a Peaceful Setting

We absolutely loved our stay at Silverstripe! We were met by our delightful host Laurence with a welcoming slice of homemade coconut cake. We'd been looking for a quiet country cottage to unwind, and Silverstripe fit the bill perfectly. The guest section is beautifully appointed. The cozy bedroom was in a stone corner of the building, with a wood burner that made us wish we were visiting in winter. Our delicious, perfectly prepared home cooked breakfast was made with locally sourced produced and included homemade bread. The huge bathroom featured a clawfoot bathtub and traditional fittings. We relaxed with our tea in the gorgeous sunroom, taking in the country view. Silverstripe was exactly what we were hoping for, a quiet, country getaway. We would definitely stay there again, and would recommend it to anyone who wanted to get away from it all in a cozy country cottage.

A peaceful haven

We absolutely loved our stay at the Silverstripe. It is in the beautiful Scottish countryside and is tastefully decorated and impeccably clean and comfortable. Our hosts were fantastic and even started the fireplace and provided us with home baked treats upon arrival. In addition, she baked me gluten free bread from scratch for breakfast amongst the other treats on the tray! Such an unexpected kindness. If you are traveling near Turiff, it’s worth the detour to stay at the Silver Stripe😊

A gem between Turiff and Portsoy.

Very friendly couple welcomed us with a massive smile. Accommodation fantastic. Only able to have a tiny sandwich for lunch, due to the size of our very complete breakfast. Will be back.
