Staff are fantastic- extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast a little chaotic. If youā€™re not early you can be waiting 45mins for food and they ran out of eggs during our stay. Also almost all of our group of 16 had to have tepid or cold showers which was also disappointing. That said we enjoyed our stay and weā€™d go back.

Weā€™ve been to the Swan a few times over the past few years. Itā€™s a real shame to see such a nice hotel be neglected. It is in dire need of a refurb. Peeling wall paper in the bar area, mold on the bedrooms and restaurant, hall lights not working. We were so disappointed, especially as they market themselves as a high-end hotel

Just got home really upset. Saved up to take my mum as a special treat. We arrived and checked into our ā€œlovely roomā€. There is nothing lovely about this room. It was filthy. I was embarrassed to take my mum. Iā€™m not one to complain and feel awkward in doing so so didnā€™t say anything. Had we been asked how everything was then I wouldā€™ve said but we werenā€™t even asked on checking out how we found everything. First the room was shocking , drafty and in desperate need of a full makeover. Itā€™s tired, paint chipping, dirty marks all over, really grubby heavily stained carpet. Filthy radiator, who knows what we were breathing in from it. Heavily marked area where the tea and coffee pot were. No slippers, robes or bottled water as advertised . Windows were like a health hazard, black mould, really cold draft coming through, heavily disguised with shutters. We went to the spa, same again, dirty. Foam scum in the pool. Used cups, food containers and plastic glasses littered everywhere, on tables, around the pool, outside, towels everywhere. We were in there for 2hrs and they were still there when we left! Restaurant food was ok but expensive. The waiter was very nice. He was the best thing about it. The hotel was cold and drafty. My mum gets cold so he sat us at ā€œthe warmest tableā€ in the restaurant as it was next to a radiatorā€¦this wasnā€™t on! The fires were out in the evening. We had to go back up and put an extra layer on to sit in the bar area as it was that drafty.

Very disappointed with the stay was expecting boutique but got budget hotel vibes - Room was nothing like advertised and felt dated & dirty - Staff on reception unhelpful - Twilight Spa Experience -The Spa was filthy - No beds available as all covered in dirty towels & empty glasses from people who had left in the day - Only good thing was the pub restaurant & friendly staff

A wonderful two night break

The hotel is dirty and the spa is over filled so your unable to get a bed or even get in the hot tub The manager Yasmin is very rude speaks down to you and laughs at any problems you have . I would recommend to stay else where .

I had high hopes for the hotel given its social media presence but found it in need of a bit of tlc. The food and drink were really overpriced, we waited 45 minutes for breakfast then when asking if all was ok found the order had been lost and there was another 20 minute wait. Staff were not very attentive. Our room was a bit rough around the edges and not the particularly clean the saving grace was the size and comfort of the bed

Really good stay. The hotel was exceptional - the decor, cleanliness, location and views are first class. Staff were really polite and attentive. Great place to stay in the lakes and we will be returning.

Thumbs up.

The hotel was lovely and the room we stayed in had a very comfy bed, tea and coffee facilities and a river view. The food was very nice although a little on the pricey side. I was a bit disappointed that the picture of the pool on the website which went outside was only accessible via the spa though. Breakfast was a little chaotic and took us sometime to get our breakfast ordered. Overall this was a great one night stay.
