Set in the heart of the beautiful Schwarzatal valley, at an altitude of around 400 metres, this unique country house offers peace and quiet, natural surroundings and plenty of space for larger groups. Originally built some 150 years ago to support the quarrying of the region’s famous green-grey slate, traces of this fascinating history can still be found throughout the house and on the extensive grounds. Accessible via a rustic forest path, the house is secluded and offers breathtaking views of forests, valleys and rolling hills. A spacious kitchen and a large dining room provide the ideal setting for shared meals and unforgettable moments. The property also features garden furniture and a barbecue area. Whether for families, clubs or groups of friends – this house is a wonderful base for hiking and enjoying the unspoilt natural beauty of the Thuringian Forest.
