I booked a deluxe king Mountain View room based mainly off the pictures of the room online-a balcony, carpeted floors. We brought our dog and when we checked in, we got a large wood floor room with no balcony. Our dog is skittish on wood floors so we try to avoid them when traveling. The front desk told me the hotel was fully booked so we couldn’t switch to a different room. So we had lay down sheets, towels, rugs all over the room so our dog was comfortable. The windows didn’t open and I specifically booked the room thinking we’d have a balcony with fresh mountain air. That was very disappointing, perhaps more up front advertising and descriptions of rooms would be helpful. I paid more for a deluxe room that had none of the features I saw online! Otherwise the hotel was nice. The shuttle ran frequently and was dog friendly. The food/bar was good, albeit very pricey which is Vail in general.

Stunning property. Nestled right next to a beautiful walking path and creek. Rooms were great and lobby and amenities were great. We were a little disappointed because the hot tub and pool were not working when we got there and we could not use them the entire stay. Other than that, everybody was very friendly. There was a lot of dining options and the shuttle was extremely helpful getting in and out of town.

I can’t say enough about the excellent quality of this Hyatt. We will be back!! The staff were all so friendly and helpful, especially Danielle at the concierge desk. She went above and beyond for us and helped maximize our experience! If I had to give any feedback for improvement, I’d say put grass like astroturfing down under the loungers by the pool that are currently in the dirt and maybe better tv/movie access. Can’t wait to get back there!

The property is classified as "5 Star" but it is NOT. It is well kept, but not quite the 5 star status it claims to be. The staff is very professional and friendly but provide very little service. There is no turn-down service and rooms are kept with minimal amenities, to the point that it was uncomfortable to have to be calling for simple things like two wine glasses that were removed from our room (we brought them in because they don't have it in the room despite the fact that there is a wine bottle opener) and one of our bathrobes was removed from the room and never returned. We received a very nice upgrade because the room we selected was misrepresented both in the hotel's website and in the Expedia website. The manager on site, Vaibhav Saxena was extremely nice and accommodating in an effort to make our stay as enjoyable as possible, and to make up for the room issue, he upgraded us to a new larger suite; however, there is where we noticed the lack of adequate amenities that are standard of a 5 star property. We also approached the Concierge to request ideas for what to do during our stay and other than give us brochures (which we had already downloaded from the internet) they were not at all helpful. We did not find this service at all helpful, unlike at many other 5 star properties we stay at. In general, I had a good experience, but it was definitely not the experience I expected and definitely not the experience a 5 star hotel should deliver.

The property is situated next to a tranquil river and beautiful mountain slope. It was so quiet and tranquil. The Balmain soap, shampoo and conditioner were an amazing touch!
