Beautiful Compact Condo

This condo is very secure, and once you get the hang of it, it's easy to get in and out. Very modern and clean, nice furnishings, and a beautiful living area and . It appears new, so it's missing some things like towel holders and hooks in the bathrooms, handles on the closet doors in the 2nd & 3rd BRs, waste cans bedrooms, and a notebook with names of nearby restaurants and things to do in the area). We would have liked some simple amenities as found in other VRBOs (e.g., Kleenex, salt & pepper, sugar). More plusses: Plenty of large screen TVs, Netflix access, a popular Mediterranean restaurant downstairs, and a helpful, responsive owner.

Nice place - But hurt our vacation overall due to scheduling issues.

The place itself was clean and modern, but the living area is very small, especially considering there are 3 bedrooms. We had 4 people staying in the 3 bedrooms and it was very hard to all be in the living area together. There is no dining table and not enough stools/space to accommodate everyone eating at the bar at the same time. The major issue was the scheduling snafu where we were asked to leave 1 day earlier than we'd originally booked. This changed our vacation drastically because it meant leaving Vancouver a day earlier, and left us scrambling to find another place to stay. While we were offered "compensation", that barely covered the price of one night when one factored in the high VRBO and cleaning fees. It definitely wasn't enough to get the 2 hotel rooms that would have been required to stay in Vancouver another night. While the owners were apologetic and offered to help if we needed them, this did have a negative impact on our ability to do everything we wanted in Vancouver. Overall, if we came to Vancouver again, we'd likely stay elsewhere.
