Escape to Chalet Catawa: A haven of nature and relaxation
The mountain chalet, forever in our eyes had a taste of childhood, the magic that snow provides, the wooden cabin spirit, landmark for friends, has always made us dream. When we took a stroll down the Vars pass, after the Napoleon relay, we saw the chalets of the hamlet of Rennes take shape on the mountain, we literally fell in love. Slate roofs, dry stone bases, structure in larch. Everything we loved ...
Our chalet we built there in the beautiful area of the white forest in the Southern Alps. At the very top of the Vars station at 2000 meters above sea level.
Located on the Peynier estate, the start of the slopes is 100 meters from the chalet. The resort offers, with its connection to the Risoul resort, 185 km of pistes, artificial snow allows optimum snowfall from mid-December to the end of April. Several Snowparks and the fastest Chabrière speed track in the world (252.4 kh), numerous toboggan runs, snowshoe trails.

We put all our love into the development of this project. The mountain spirit reigns there, simplicity, great comfort, noble materials, luxury spirit. Old wood, alfalfa stone on the floor, wood fireplace with insert, but also the modernity of polished concrete for the bathrooms, a modern fully equipped kitchen, for comfort: underfloor heating, a ski room with shoe dryer, a hammam for relaxation, large beds with mattresses and cushions from the PYRENEX brand, natural welcome products from the CASANERA brand (made in Corsican maquis) for the bathrooms.
