The flat is located on a small island so be prepared to cross many bridges just to get off it. The apt is up two full flights of stairs and at the top there is a door with no lock. The apt is one of many apts in the area so someone may come in to grab a mattress off the ground floor, and one day we had someone enter and scare the crap out of us, bc we weren’t aware. A lock up you too would be nice. The furniture is not comfortable to sit upon after a long day of touring. The apt is dark and there is no private place to sit outside. We used the square outside to sit a couple of nights bc it was cool. There are two restaurants on the water behind the apt that were delicious. The small cafe around the corner was good for gelato or cappuccino. It is a 20 min walk to St. Marks square and over many bridges. You are close proximity to Accedemia and Zattare for public water transportation system. Apartment is large for many people with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. I gave it an average score for the money paid and amenities. We would have been better off at the hotel around the corner for pricing and convince of the trash system. You take out your own trash to a place 3 min away, and it may or may not be there! Must go between 6:30-8:30 am while on vacation!
