The hotel is in a good location. Close to San Marco and Rialto bridge. The staff are friendly and the shower was nice and hot. Breakfast was decent with delicious pastries. However, cutlery for non-veg was also being used for veg options, which was not great for me.
However, the shower doors looked like they would fall off any minute. They were unstable when opening or closing them. They clean the rooms only between certain timings (10.30am -12pm?). I found this out after going for a tour in the morning and returning at 11am but my room was not cleaned. I then left at 2pm and room was not cleaned upon my return at 7pm. Advised no cleaners and that I should have had room cleaned in the morning. Luckily, I kept a clean room, so just needed new towels. Also, cups are not changed daily, Also, no coffee or tea maker in the room. If you need hot water, you can only get it from the bar, which opens after 1pm. Also, I requested late check out and was advised I could check out at 12pm as complimentary, but this was not recorded on my notes, so the receptionist told me it should have been 11am. Furthermore, there is no Air con, so I had the windows open. In doing so, I could not close the blinds for privacy and I also got attacked by mosquitos and it does get noisy. Ultimately, poor communication by the hotel. They should advise about the above beforehand. I probably would not stay here in the future, as it has so much potential but needs to improve on these points first.
