Great communication from the hotel sending links to log my personal information and the codes for the main building, luggage room and my room. The room was clean and spacious, the air con was great and the bed comfortable. I struggled to find the luggage room but the staff member who was doing breakfast helped me to find it, she was very polite and helpful. I would definitely recommend Locanda Herion. It’s in a good location with lots of bars and restaurants near by. It’s also in walking distance from all the main attractions.

The hotel was nice and comfortable. The address in Expedia is incorrect. That issue created a delayed for us to arrive at the hotel. It made it very difficult to find the hotel. The host was available on WhatsApp and provided guidance to find the location of the hotel.

The Expedia listing mentions on-site parking, which is not true and, in fact, impossible due to Venice's parking regulations. It is a 20-40 minute walk to parking. Otherwise, it's a great location. Our room was nice and clean. Hot water and water pressure was iffy. The housekeeping manager was helpful and friendly. Like some other reviewers, our room access code was not sent, but they responded quickly to WhatsApp messages. They do not respond to emails.

The hotel was located perfectly, it was just behind the main street so it was not loud outside, however it was in a great spot with loads of shops and restaurants surrounding it. everywhere was in a walkable distance including the train station, the rialto bridge, St marks etc. The only issue we faced was the air conditioning was very bad so the room was still boiling

Facility is ok, but service not so much.

There is no reception, and if you need any assistance at all, good luck! It took us over 90 minutes to get our code to enter the room. There was no elevator. The shower had no hot water for 3 of our 7 attempts at showers. The room was decent and clean. It was tricky to find, but in a good location, relatively close to the train station. The shower was tiny, with no shelves for soap or shampoo. Nothing fancy, but clean.

Great location not so great property to stay

The property is nice and clean. However no service in the room like kettle or cofee cups etc. Everything in common area. No ceramic bowls or anything to warm food etc. Warm water finishes around 9.30to 10am hence have a bath early or get used to having luke warm or cold shower. Also ensure if you are booking share your phone no / whats app to connect or you will not get the room code and may get stranded outside. No clear communication was sent on email.

Good Location and clean room. Air conditioning was great as it had a quiet mode. Room itself very basic and no space to put anything anywhere in the bathroom. Room was directly next to the cleaning cupboard so that we got regularly woken up between 6 and 7 in the morning.

Location of the hotel was good, but very hard to find: most local people coud not give you correct direction. The hotel doez not have any dissant furniture in you room- no table or any chair. There is no kleanex in the butroom. Also, day before of our departure hotel desided to start providing breakfast. Our check out was at 10 am. At 8 am, my husband brought some of our bags down stair and knoticed a coffee maker. The moment he tryed to have just a cope of coffee, the manager immediately stop him. Stating that the coffee will be served only for new guest. That was plane rude.

When I booked this stay I didn't realize there would be no one at the location. However, I have stayed at many Airbnbs and thought it would be no big deal. I was wrong. There was poor communication. I was sent a code to enter the guesthouse but no code for the room. The code didn't work, so my son and I were left standing outside with all our luggage. We had no ability to make phone calls, but after some scrambling figured how to contact them through Whatsapp. The women was incredibly rude and blamed me for why she didn't send me the code. I had filled out all the necessary information in advance as directed in the emails. Further she demanded 24 euros more for the tourist tax, in additional to all taxes I had already paid and which was not mentioned I would have to pay in the booking. The tax is supposed to be paid prior to arriving in Venice and she was supposed to send me a QR code to enter the island. This did not happen either which led to a long conversation and some grace on the part of the tourist tax offical when I got off the train. As you can imagine this was an awful experience and afterwards my son Googled them and it appears to be a common experience. Further the room was filled with flies and mosquitoes, there was no safe as indicated, and the refrigerator didn't work.

We were very disappointed with this hotel. The room we were given looked nothing like the photos online. It was dark and quite dirty. The shower head had black mould all over it. The bathroom was down 4 sets of stairs which was dangerous when we needed to use to toilet at night. There was also no light in the shower. The WiFi didn’t work and I had no response from the hotel when I complained on the first night. For the price of the hotel, I wouldn’t recommend it.
