Definitely a great place

This place is Amazing, the full breakfast buffet is delightful, we took the pedestrian bridge to the beach & pier. Enjoyed a short walk to the historic Main Street... Great shops & restaurants. Staff at the hotel were very attentive & friendly. The pool & Jacuzzi was perfectly maintained & the temperatures were just right... Highly recommend if you are in Ventura you stay at the Amanzi Hotel

Staff and property were just fine. But as soon as you walk in the lobby you feel the heat of the room with no air circulating. No AC in the lobby or hallways walking to your room. The pool was dirty, a mirky green color, both the pool and jacuzzi. I was surprised because this facility just got renovated a couple of years ago. The room was nice and spacious but the AC unit in the room was facing the bed (which might have gotten my family and I sick) and wasn't really up to par on the Eco mode.

Great upgraded hotel

We had a great stay at Amanzi Hotel. The staff was knowledgeable and kind. Check in was quick. The rooms were very clean as was the other facilities. Happy hour was cool and unexpected, they had beer or wine complimentary (2 per adult) along with pizza, nachos and wings. Breakfast was also good, eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, waffles, fruit and more. I took 1 star off because the beds and pillows were not comfortable. If you laid close to the edge it dipped down and you felt you were gonna fall off. My back was hurting the next day. Overall though very happy with the stay and would stay again.

Time for Updates

2nd floor balconies are not safe for kids. The upstairs balconies have a sloped ramp type ledge that curious children will definitely try to climb it. Ask for 1st floor if you have kids. It was a hot humid night, and the AC wall unit was not the best for that kind of weather. The microfiber sheets and pillows were to slippery for me. I would have been ok if I had brought my own pillow. The breakfast salsa was incredible! I liked the friendly breakfast staff too. My breakfast burrito was appreciated. This hotel just needs some refreshing. It’s in a good location. We gave up the sea view to stay on the mountain side to avoid freeway noise. We saw a lot of parties flocking back from the bars and thought it might be a problem, but any noise was drowned out by the AC.
