I was bummed I thought I picked and paid for an ocean front room and was put facing the street. The elevator was very difficult to use as there was no directions. Took up too 10-15 min at times to get it to work. Starting in the elevator each room smelt very bad. The hallways and the room all different but not pleasant smells.

The room was big and comfortable, and the staff was very nice. We would have liked to have the option to watch streaming content. It was inconvenient to have no ice machine available on the second floor. I would stay there again, nice hotel.

Great hotel! Room was clean. Our room faced the mountain which made the traffic not as loud. All the staff was wonderful. Walking distance to beach and downtown. Would recommend to anyone.

I keep staying here - and I need to revisit my choice. The last 2 years I’ve had extra fees applied without a word upon check in that I did not place on a prepaid card. When they attempted to remove way more money than my stay, they give me a hard time. Then they try to run it again after pulling some money out, instead of for the balance, creating more issues! Last time I had my card company on speaker telling the manager of the fraud happening!!!!!

The hotel is a conveniently located property just a few blocks away from Main Street in Ventura. The staff was universally friendly and welcoming, and the hotel including the public areas and rooms seem recently renovated. My room was quite spacious. And there are a number of dining options just a 5 minute walk away. The only downside is that the rooms that face the ocean also face the 101 freeway and the Amtrak tracks. So if you’re not a deep sleeper, then road noise and the train whistle can be heard all thru the night. I was only there one night so it was bearable, but if night noise from a busy highway isn’t your thing, then it’s best to book a room that faces the city, and not the ocean.
