Disliked: Cleanliness
Overall, our 10-night stay was sufficient and worked for what we needed, but there were several cleanliness and maintenance concerns that affected our experience.First, I want to give Preston credit for being very communicative. He responded quickly to messages before and during our stay, which I appreciated. The neighborhood was also quiet which we enjoyed. Unfortunately, overall cleanliness was the biggest concern. The bunk bed room had a very strong musky odor, similar to cat urine, that made it unusable for the colleagues who planned to sleep there. Shortly after arriving, our dog found a stack of beef sticks underneath the living room couch. Preston apologized when notified, but no effort was made to address it further. The master bedroom also needed attention. The fitted sheet did not fit the bed and repeatedly popped off, the comforter smelled strongly of cologne, and the pillowcases were ripped. There was also a sticky substance on the nightstand drawers. Additional concerns included what appeared to be mouse droppings in the very messy kitchen utensil drawer and outdoor areas that had not been cleaned. We also chose not to use the grill or hot tub due to the overall cleanliness concerns. The home has nice features and furnishings, which made these issues more surprising. We made the best of the stay, but it did not meet our expectations for cleanliness.
