DOMAINE DU CHATEAU DE VILLERS, EAST WING
The East Wing at the estate of the chateau forms part of a fully restored Hunting Lodge, set in a large wooded garden in the heart of the Argonne Forest in Champagne. The centuries-old château, once home to the family of Adelbert von Chamisso, the German writer, naturalist, and explorer born nearby, is a unique surviving contemporary link to Adelbert and his family in France.
The property consists of two separate, non-connecting wings: the East Wing with three bedrooms and the West Wing with two. They can be rented separately or together.
The East Wing offers a spacious 37.5 m² lounge with a dressed-stone fireplace. The sofa converts into a comfortable double bed for parties of more than six guests.
The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, and freezer. There are two bathrooms (bath and shower) and two separate toilets, plus washing machine, dryer, electric heating, satellite TV, and DVD.
Outside, enjoy a private terrace with garden furniture, sun loungers, and barbecue, and exclusive use of a private 5 × 10 m swimming pool with a retractable walk-in enclosure, reserved for East Wing guests only or those renting the entire lodge.
The shared grounds offer a children's playground with lookout tower, toboggan, and swings. Table tennis is available in a games room in one of the château’s dépendances.
Wi-Fi, bicycles for all ages, cot, and firewood are available for an extra fee; high chair on request. Pets are welcome for an extra fee. Bed linen and final cleaning are optional extras, payable on site.
