Château de Villers – Hunting Lodge – West Wing

CHÂTEAU DE VILLERS ESTATE

The West Wing on the Château de Villers estate forms part of a fully restored Hunting Lodge, surrounded by its own large wooded garden in the heart of the Argonne Forest in Champagne. The centuries-old château, once home to a branch of the family of Adelbert von Chamisso, the German writer, naturalist and explorer born nearby, is a unique surviving contemporary link to Adelbert and his family in France.



The Hunting Lodge consists of two separate, non-connecting wings: the West Wing with two bedrooms and the East Wing with three. They can be rented separately or together.



The 80 m² West Wing accommodates up to 6 guests. Its spacious 36 m² living room has a dining area, dressed-stone fireplace, Smart TV (USB/DVD), and a sofa converting into a comfortable double bed for parties of more than four.



The kitchen area has an oven, 4 induction hobs, microwave, dishwasher, and 2 refrigerators. There is one double bedroom (bed 140 × 195 cm) and one twin bedroom (2 m beds), a shower room with washbasin and washing machine, and 2 separate toilets. Wall-mounted electric heating is available throughout.



Private terrace with garden furniture, sun loungers, and barbecue. The garden shared by both wings has a children’s playground with lookout tower, slide, and swings. Table tennis is available in one of the château’s other dépendances. Horses can also be accommodated.



Wi-Fi, 12 bicycles for all ages, cot, and firewood are available for an extra fee. High chair on request. Well-behaved pets are welcome for an extra fee. Bed linen and final cleaning are optional extras, payable on site. Bicycle storage and ample covered parking are provided.
