Disappointing trip!

All night there were people shouting and it started at 1 am. You could hear it in the bedroom loudly. It kept my daughter awake. The next issue was the shower. It was so close to the front door and very hard for an older person like me to get in it. We were only there for one night and I did not know that the beach front would be so full of barriers that would make it almost impossible to get to the ocean. We would have cancelled had we known. This was a quick get away for my daughter from Minnesota and me. I had not been to Va Beach in years so was so looking forward to it but sadly I was awfully disappointed.

Check-in was not the best

I wanted to share some feedback about my check-in experience. While my stay overall has been enjoyable (rate 3), I was quite disappointed with the delay in getting into my room. After a day of travel, having to wait nearly two hours to check in—without receiving any notification that my room was ready—was frustrating and not ideal. I only received a response after I followed up by text, and ultimately had to return to the front desk myself to get a room assigned. This experience didn’t set the best tone for the start of my stay, and I hope future check-ins can be handled in a more timely and seamless manner for other guests.

Major updates need to happen to this resort. The price you pay is for the location and oceanfront property, the rest is extremely lacking. Staff is nice, but I asked for towels twice and never got any.

Carpet in common areas was gross, our room had a weird old meat smell, pipes banged like jackhammer first night. Pipes were fixed second day but it took me following up a few times to get done. The mattress was uncomfortable and toilet would randomly flush through day and night. Perfect location for the Point Break festival. I will never ever stay there again.

A great comfortable stay.

Our stay at Beach Quarters Resort was great. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and we had everything we needed. The pools were cold but were still a nice amenities to use. The only downside is the ice machine on most floors were down and they kept having elevator issues. You have to park in their parking garage and it is very small. So be prepared when driving larger vehicles.

I was pleasantly surprised by the room. It was super clean, had everything I needed and a beautiful balcony, I have a very loud neighbor but opening the patio door and/or turning the A/C fan on made it quiet. The property is nothing special but none of the VA beach hotels is this price range are. The attached garage was intimidating- tight tight spaces and turns - even for my small ford escape. There is a bigger garage across the street so no biggie. I think it’s a good budget family option

The staff was wonderful. The room was good except for the toilet. The shower was fine except it's a safety hazard getting in and out of it. The location is great and we would definitely go back.
