Quaint, clean but no soundproofing

Beautiful inside and out. The lakeside location was perfect and the inside of the hotel was quaint with giant fresh flower bouquets in common areas. The place was very clean. The only issue was the adjoining room; there is NO soundproofing. So if you are a light sleeper or noise sensitive and your neighbours even speak more than a whisper or watch tv or play any music you'll have a truly miserable time

Hotel was comfortable inclusing bedroom. Food was good. Staff friendly. Unfortunately there was a smell from our bathroom. We kept the door closed in bathroom and door open in the room. Window could not open in bedroom.

We were attending a wedding at Virginia Lodge so the hotel was close by. The staff were extremely friendly, the bed comfortable and the place very tidy. Great views over the lake. Excellent breakfast but would have liked fruit salad to be available as it was in other places guests stayed.

Surprisingly good stay

Beautiful location by lake. An old fashioned hotel which is also a refuge centre for Ukrainians which was a bit of a shock on arrival but didn’t cause any issues during our stay. Excellent food with delicious breakfast included.
