We needed a place near volcano park and this property filled the bill. I really should have read the information provided by the host to understand the self-check in process. (Multiple messages from all our stays overwhelmed me) Once we squared that away, we found dinner and brought it back to the room and settled in. The night sounds in the forest were great. My only suggestion is the steps be lit up for arrivals after dark.

Convenient to national park. Clean and Quiet location. More of a bed and breakfast style set up. Drive slow entering the property, can get bumpy. Ignore the purple key pad at entrance door, use e-keypad on door. Breakfast is granola bars and packaged pastries as stated. There is a breakfast and lunch deli just around the corner called lighthouse.

Keep your expectations realistic and you will love this place. This is not the Four Seasons, it's a quaint, self-check in style lodge that is clean and spacious. You will be sharing the common areas (kitchen and living room) of the Inn with other travelers. The room and closet are huge. It is a 5 minute drive to Volcanoes National Park and I would absolutely stay here again. The innkeeper is easy to reach if needed but if you follow the instructions you probably wont need any help. There is a small brewery nearby as well as a general store and a Thai restaurant for food and beverages.
