ARC Padstow
Nestled within the heart of St Issey, a hamlet just outside Padstow, you can find our ARC – an 18th Century build restored to its original plan by Parti Architects. In a moving assembly of light, material and space, the interior of ARC Padstow exhibits the honesty and authenticity of the building’s past through the use of exposed Cornish slated walls, original beams, restored historic fireplaces and other raw materials that combine the cottage and the contemporary together. Crafting decadent forms alongside a peaceful, contented spatial ambience, there is something special found within its walls. Something lively, something poetic and something familiar. But really, it's hard to call The Arc of Padstow anything other than a home. A home made just for you.
Formerly a listed Manor House, Courthouse and Mill, the building is united together by the characterful garden sat at the heart of the property, rigged with garden rooms, an oval sun lawn, outdoor kitchen and wood-fired hot-tub. From its scenery and sand to its Seafood and Sauvignon, Padstow epitomizes a serene sanctuary abundant with the simple pleasures we’ve fallen accustomed to living without in the bustle, hustle and tussle of modern life. Tucked west of the River Camel, the balmy fishing port and harbour town has become ubiquitous for its delicate dining scene and remarkable trails, dutifully set within stone’s throw of the Seven Bays, and the accompanying dramatic coastline and awe inspiring pastoral landscape of North Cornwall.
ARC is a curated and crafted collection of the most remarkable homestays, from the minds of London-based architecture studio Parti and design studio Regular Practice.
Designed to be shared, ARC effortlessly combines the charm and attention to detail of boutique hotels with the repose of rural life; embodying a modern luxury that replaces glitz, glamour and bling with an architectural elegance, comfort and purpose.
Comfortably hosting up to 30 people per house, our ARCs are curated experiences like no other; furnished with all the creature comforts and convenience needed to make your stay as easy as possible.
Guests can plan as much or as little as they’d like, using our online Lobby to curate their stay; from the best local breakfast delivered to your door, and a private bartender for cocktails night, to in-house yoga and a personal photographer to document the getaway.
Throughout the homes you’ll find the latest extraordinary work from our ARC Salon, an ever-updating inhouse cultural program exhibiting the artwork of emerging talent – created to support the greatest local artists, designers and thinkers. There to admire and inspire, all pieces are also available to purchase as a lasting keepsake of time well spent, together.
In order to ensure the tranquility and comfort of our wonderful neighbours, we kindly request that guests consider their needs, particularly after 10 pm. To maintain the peace, we ask that the courtyard is not be used during the night hours, and all doors leading to this area be kept closed. Wonderful holiday at "the manor house"
Location, house, facilities all top notch - we had a wonderful time !
communications could be improved - had to deal with people from Kate & Toms, Finest Retreats and "ARC Lobby" and had to chase a few times for answers. The people I dealt with - particularly Emma Walsh - were lovely - but still a bit of a pain.

Amazing house
The rooms were very comfy and had lots of natural light.
Written instructions of how to use some of the amenities
We had a wonderful 60th party with friends and family. The house was perfect for 3 nights and accommodated 26 of us really well. The kitchen was very well equipped and we managed to cook several meals without a problem. Located just outside Padstow we had plenty to keep us amused. Would definately recommend for a large group.

Great holiday
Second visit to The Arc Padstow, fabulous property, very well equipped, good location for accessing Padstow, camel trail and beach at Trevone. Jackie is an excellent host and looked after us well. Thanks again.
Larger facilities for washing and drying, lighter plates.

Great accommodation- very comfortable
The accommodation worked really weak for our group of 19. The bedrooms were comfortable and the house is extremely thoughtfully equipped.
Lauren the housekeeper was excellent especially when the heating failed (and we know these things happen) but she magically sourced a quantity of heaters and extra logs to keep us warm - it did the trick.

Fabulous week
A great place to stay for the family. Plenty of room and amenities. Kitchen is well equipped. Loved the outside seating area. We had fab weather too which is always a bonus! A great place to stay and explore the beaches of North Cornwall.
Might be a good idea to mark out the parking bays for ARC. Our access was occasionally blocked by a large van connected to the renovations next door. Couldn’t find the instructions for the hot tub. We missed having a coffee machine (we were told it was broken).

Jackie was very friendly and helpful just a call away the facilities were excellent
The kitchen floor was difficult to keep clean concrete steps to dining area are unforgiving and the dining chairs would benefit from soft pads to deaden the sound but it’s a super holiday base thanks for creating it.

A long celebration in a wonderful location
The house is spacious even on full occupancy it does not feel cramped. The kitchen is well appointed with lots of crockery, serving dishes and cookware. The outside space works well and the local team are just super. Beds are super and everything works well. Lots of outdoor and indoor spaces for break outs.
It is in the centre of a village so you have to move inside at 10pm, strict. The neighbours are very close, but friendly

Excellent place for a big gathering
Me and my guests were all stunned by the house's interior and how well equipped it was. We loved the stone walls and the spacious dinning area. There are sufficient rooms for everyone and we like the fact that there is a bathroom in or near every bedroom. The hot tub is a very nice addition. It was a shame not being able to use the lovely garden due to the weather.
All in all, would recommend hiring ARC Padstow.
The communication was confusing at times, especially with the different platforms provided by both Finest Retreat and ARC. Due to communication issues, the flower arrangement was left quite last minute as well. The flower decoration was lovely, but would be nice to have more time and choices to choose the final product. A smoother payment process would be appreciated.

Fabulous family Christmas stay at the Arc Padstow
We were a family of 24 staying at the Arc in Padstow to celebrate Christmas as a family. The accommodation didn’t disappoint. It’s finished to a very high standard throughout and there is plenty of space and bathrooms for everyone. The lounge areas are very comfortable as are the bedrooms. We took our dogs with us and the garden was perfect. I can’t recommend Arc Padstow enough. You really won’t be disappointed. It was also lovely to meet the housekeeper - Jacqui who welcomed us all with a glass of bubbly. Thank you :)
I honestly can’t think of anything. We will be back.

Excellent stay
ARC Padstow is a very beautiful house located in a picturesque village and a short drive to all the best places around Cornwall. We were a group of 26 and had a great time there. Weren't greeted by the house keeper as she wasn't feeling well but the whole house was in perfect order. Wifi wasn't working but was fixed very quickly - used arc staff network.
Kids had a great time in the jacuzzi outdoors and had delicious wood fired pizzas. Parking space for 6 cars. Plush towels, rain ponchos and Arc fleece jumpers were also provided. Didn't get to use the bicycles as we were walking or travelling by car, good option if needed.
Would highly recommend ARC Padstow.

A great week in St Issey
Convenient for Padstow and easy access to some lovely beaches near by. The house suited our large group of 18.
The hot tub needs to be be properly useable, therefore needs chemicals in it to keep clean. We were told we could use it only once maybe twice before having to drain, clean and refill it. This is unacceptable for a rental property. Hence we did not use it. The house instructions need to be kept up to date. Two of the hot taps in the baths did not work.

Wedding Party
Jacqui is a huge asset to your business and made us feel completely at home and welcome.
The beds are wonderfully comfortable
Outside entertaining space is exceptional
Minor items:
Kitchen fridge/freezer door handles are almost impossible to open.
Lack of hanging and storage space inside bedrooms ( Jacqui and Tom arranged for temporary corridor hanging space)
Lack of a coffee machine and only large cafetières (you need several small ones) made morning coffee a challenge

Excellent stsy
Beautiful house and excellent facilities although we did not get to use them all. The housekeeper Jackie was very friendly and super helpful with any problems we had. Lots of added extras included in the kitchen which was very welcome and loved the welcome bottle of Negroni. Facilities in the kitchen excellent. Bedrooms were lovely and clean and beautiful en-suites with fluffy towels and shower gel etc. loved the extra large sweat shirts to use as a dressing gown. We didn’t need to use the rain ponchos but they looked very handy to use in bad weather. We all loved our stay at the Arc Padstow and would highly recommend.
There were no instructions for using coffee machine and other kitchen equipment, I know you can Google it but some written down instructions would have been helpful. Also some additional instructions for using the fire panel, the smoke alarm went off and although there were instructions there they were not easy to follow on the unit. Just a thought fir the lounges, we all found the sofas a bit too deep and uncomfortable some additional large cushions for us shorter people would help(maybe it’s just our age!)
