This place hit all the boxes for our annual family trip. For context, that included 7 adults and 5 kids. The place: Plenty of space on the main floor for everyone to get together. 3 large bedrooms upstairs, and 2 on the basement level - one has bunk beds. There’s also an in-law style studio apartment above the garage, so 1 of the couples had a nice from the kids. Plenty of cooking items, plates, cups…and I appreciate the full spice rack, coffee, and other things that are annoying to run out to grab (foil, ziplock bags, cooking oil, etc.). The hot tub was clean and easy to use. There are plenty of separate towels so that you don’t need to use shower towels. The views are amazing!!! Full view of Mt. Ellen and partial of Sugarbush. Facing West, so sunsets were on full display. The Area:Waitsfield was perfect for what we needed. We were there in August, so we hiked, jumped off cliffs into very cold water, went on some hilly runs, played mini golf at a surprisingly awesome place, and the adults were able to have a great night out (Lawson’s brewery, then Madbush for cocktails, and finally Afterthoughts for a great 90’s DJ). We went in summer, but I can clearly see the appeal of this area during ski season. The management team was very responsive to anything I would put as a negative, so it isn’t worth mentioning. If “quaint” and “outdoors” are your keywords, this is a great place to stay.

Stunning property

This property does not disappoint. It is a wonderful place to come together with friends and family. Plenty of space for multiple families, a thoughtfully equipped kitchen, comfortable clean rooms, and excellent amenities (hot tub!). The pictures do not do it justice, this place is stunning. The host was also very kind and responsive. We would absolutely stay again!

Peaceful Retreat

Our extended family stayed here for a wedding that was taking place not far away. The large family room was ideal for everyone to gather, the dining room was large enough for us to eat together and the deck was huge for hanging out. The hot tub was a nice bonus and it was spotless! The owners clearly take good care of the hot tub. I would recommend this home for large families and groups.

Older home with subpar cleaners

The location is great and this house checks the boxes with the location, bedrooms and hot tub. That’s said the cleanliness was an issue. There was dust in all the corners of the living room and webs all around the perimeter in one of the bedrooms. We had to get rid of 15 to 20 nats on the ceiling in another. The water pressure in the 2nd bedroom upstairs was super low and non existent when the master was in use. The hot tub was dirty as the top was left off but that was fixed the next day. The manager Colin was responsive and helped where he could which we appreciated.

VT Ski House

We throughly enjoyed our stay in a very comfortable setting taking advantage of fireplace, hot tub, and open sitting kitchen area. With 7 guys there was a bed for everyone and enough bathrooms. The proximity to the ski areas and the town of Waitsfield is very close. I highly recommend this property.

Great place to stay for ski trip

We had a large friend group over for a ski trip and were able to sleep all of us comfortably. The rooms and amenities are accurately described. The kitchen is stocked with spices and a great place to cook meals for everyone. Our view of the mountains from the house was incredible and the hot tub was well maintained and comfortable. Only thing I need to mention is the driveway and access roads are steep and icy/snowy. We had a few cars without 4 wheel drive get stuck and needed more sand/salt than was already provided. Will definitely consider coming back next year.

Commencement Weekend

We rented this house for our son’s graduation and it was everything we were hoping for. The house was beautiful and the surrounding area was amazing! The house was spacious and clean and beds very comfortable. Only negative I would say was that the listing says that there is a first floor bedroom and bath, but it’s actually on the basement level. It’s deceiving because you are actually entering on the main level which I considered the first floor. Rather difficult for the elderly or any individuals who may be physically challenged to get up and down the stairs. Also, the picture of the in-law suite doesn’t show that it’s on the top of a hill with very steep steps that made it a bit challenging for anyone traveling with elder adults. I can’t really complain too much since I could have asked more questions prior to booking. The hosts were very accessible and were very quick to respond to any concerns we had. Overall, everything was perfect and we would definitely rent this house again!
