We stayed during a very busy weekend for the area to visit family who live in Kellogg. Local businesses were ready for the influx of tourists, but the hotel was not. They ran out of milk, bananas and other breakfast items. Staff appeared tired and maybe stretched thin. The hotel is listed as “new” on Expedia. It’s not. It’s not even renovated. A new company bought the property and slapped a new name on it. The carpet is still decades old. The room was okay. It was clean. The beds were not great. There’s no elevator, so being on the second floor meant lugging our bags up stairs. We’ll look for other accommodations the next time we visit family in Kellogg.

The FairBridge Inn was really just okay. The hotel itself is a bit run down, and my room had a funky smell. The highlight of this hotel is its location just across the street from the Silver Mountain Resort and gondola. I really liked being able to walk over to the shops and restaurants and enjoy a nice evening not in my hotel room.
