The hotel was nice but had issues with lift being broken and parking only available to use if we paid valet otherwise we park in the lot beneath without access to come up to the property. The only elevator which brings people up from P1 level to hotel lobby was closed after the 1st night there stating homeless people come up that way. Guests who park on their own need to find way up through the grocery store lifts or walk up the car port ramp (not safe) Food was great both days but on busier hours, staff had to be asked to refill items that ran out. Easy access to most places around the D,C area and helped that traffic was modest during the weekdays.

Nice hotel near convention center but be aware

I had booked a large room for myself and some friends for a convention taking place, but was told only a week and a half in advance that the floor said room was on was under renovation and instead had to choose from significantly smaller rooms with minimal compensation. The elevators were run-down and bare assumingly due to the renovation and the valet service was ok. The food offered for breakfast was decent, but there are definitely better options out there. The service was great, but there are definitely better options out there, especially near the convention center.

Keep staff informed, it was the parking for me. I booked valet parking is a 24hr service. I went to a concert got to the hotel around 2am the lady in the front desk snap at me and told me, what you want me to do with your car! So Nasty and rude. Communication is the key people do better. I assume the guy incharge of valet was on break who knows.

I didn’t like that the room was not working the AC, maintenance came to repair like 3 times and still didn’t work, at the middle of the night we had to switch rooms. The breakfast had to wait for food.

The Hotel was fine, expensive to park but everywhere is in this area. The room was good and clean. Breakfast however was a complete horror show, it was so unorganized it was actually hard to be mad because it was so comical. We stayed two nights and it was the same both mornings, I spoke to another guest about it, who said he’d been staying there multiple nights before I came and it was the same for those mornings. Nothing available at all, I took videos to send to friends just to give them a laugh. Nothing. If you got lucky and there happened to be a slice of bread left you weren’t getting butter for it or a knife to spread. Forget being able to get a plate to put your butterless bread on. I asked and was continuously told they were cooking more. One plate of ONE item different came Every 15mins. Unfortunately there is now a line of people waiting for ANYTHING to eat and the plate of new food was gone before it was your turn. You missed out on waffles, try again in 15mins for the eggs to come out and hope you get lucky. I tried going back to my room To give them 30mins to catch up but came Back to the same story. I’d advise the hotel to just remove the complimentary breakfast at this point if you clearly can’t offer anything. I cut my losses and just paid to eat nearby. Three stars because the lobby and cleaning staff were friendly and I have no real complaints about the room. Thanks for nice room and a unique breakfast experience I will remember!

I frequently stay at the Hyatt House when traveling to Washington, DC. The staff is professional, friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean and newly renovated. The new upgrades are great. Highly recommend this hotel.
