I booked 3 nights but my flight was cancelled due to a snowstorm, so I couldn’t arrive on the first night. I called Expedia and the Holiday Inn Express to ask them to refund one night. They didn’t accept, but said the room would be available after I told them I would be late. When I arrived, they did not have any room available, having sold it. I have called Expedia and the Holiday Inn Express to get a refund or discount, but both refuse to do anything. In short: I paid for a room and they sold it, profiting twice on the room for one night. Seems like consumer fraud to me.

When we arrived, there was no one at the desk to check us in. We waited at least 5 minutes before someone showed up. The room was okay. The shower was GREAT! The beds weren’t very comfortable and the sheets are super cheap, but you get what you pay for. The HUGE disappointment was the breakfast. I specifically booked this hotel so that we didn’t have to have breakfast elsewhere. But there was almost nothing available at any time we went. And the staff were very rude. I literally saw a staff member talk to her colleague in English, and then 30 seconds later, a guest asked if there would be more food soon and she said, “sorry I don’t speak English.” I felt like I was watching a sitcom. There was only bacon and potatoes when we were there the first day. So I asked if there was any bread that I could use to make toast. I was told “wait 10 minutes”. For bread. 10 minutes for someone to open a package of bread and put it out. So I waited 10 minutes and nothing happened. The crowd was getting angry. Then a while later they brought out more bacon. That’s all they refilled. When there was already bacon, they made more bacon. I was very disappointed and do not feel that I got what I paid for as I had to buy breakfast for my son and I each day for 4 days.
Broken pancake machine. But when I said, “it’s broken”, a staff member barked at me, “it’s not broken! Just needs a new battery!” I was there 4 days and it was never up and running.
Empty all 4 days of my stay.
Empty breakfast.
Only bacon and more bacon.

The only issue I noticed was the absence of breakfast. If the serving time is until xyz, there should be food available until that time. It’s not acceptable to run out of food an hour before the end of the serving time and not have it replenished.
