The JW Marriott is close to the National Theatre and there are lots of restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast buffet was reasonably priced at $20 and my husband said the food was good. At $70 per night parking is really pricey, even by DC standards. Because I booked through Orbitz, I didn’t get points added to my Marriott BonVoy account.

Staff as amazing - everyone was courteous and kind during our stay. There was an odor the very last day in the elevator lobby on the 10th floor where we stayed. I did report it upon check-out

We paid a significant amount (we were fully willing to invest in a great trip) just to be swindled and charged on EVERY front for NO good reason. We even booked a reservation for another trip while we were there but we’re looking forward to cancelling that trip due to the EXUBERANT amount of nonsense we experienced during this trip with lies upon lies. Zero reason whatsoever to charge us with expenses that were “supposed” to be “benefits” from people who are loyal members. Oh well… moving on to explore other ventures for our travels. If I could give zero stars I would, with the exception of the cleaning staff who were SO sweet, personable and met our every need... Yes. The cleaning staff.

I stayed at this hotel from June 18 to June 21 and checked out on the 21st. A security deposit of $238.53 was charged to my card at check-in. During my stay, I did not use any of the hotel’s services, such as the restaurant or mini bar. However, I have not received any refund for the security deposit as of June 30. I’ve contacted the hotel but have yet to receive a resolution. Very disappointing experience. The hotel is quite old. Location is great and minutes to White House.
