Getaway from it all
This was an ideal place for my spouse, service dog, and I to getaway and decompress from everyday demands. We came to Westcliffe from the east. Got groceries and supplies there, then located the property. We did not get back in the car until the end of our stay. The cabin could use TLC, but is lovely & comfortable. We slept so well! Views were gorgeous, except you see another home out of nearly each window. It is up the side of the valley. We had clouds and high winds. Didn't drive to hiking trails, only walked the property and road. We all relaxed, which was the goal of the trip. I would recommend and return. Communication with the host was easy & friendly. I might suggest an instruction book for how to use the microwave, relock door from outside, etc.. We drove south through the valley for our return to MO. It is a beautiful area. I'm so glad to have had this experience!522

Great out-of-the-way cabin
The cabin with a hot tub is in a nice location away from lights and people. Nearly everything you need is provided. The host is very responsive and accommodating. We were satisfied with our overall experience and would stay here again.

Nice cabin, beautiful setting, but...
Nice cabin in a beautiful setting. The view is amazing and the cabin was comfortable. We were disappointed with a few things at the cabin:1: We were charged the 50 fee by vrbo for the hot tub without stating that we intended to use it. 2: Since we were charged the fee we decided to use the hot tub. The weather was quite cool and windy while we were there. The hot tub was unable to keep the temperature of the water at the set temp and cooled rather rapidly making the water too cool to remain in. There was also a heavy scum ring around the perimeter of the tub at the water line which was a little disgusting.3: The bath tub/shower drain was draining extremely slow. I had to remove the stopper and clear out a large mass of hair in order for it to drain.4: the ceiling in the living room had 2 places where water was leaking from. It had snowed only an inch or two but it was apparently enough to cause a leak.I realize these are nit-picky things but they are things I would have liked to have been informed of before renting the cabin.

Great January getaway
This was a beautiful property-- well-appointed and comfortable. We came for the solitude. A lot we could have done but we dod a lot of walking, reading, talking and game playing ad well as visits with nearby family. The fantastic Sangre de Christo mountains are stunning at all hours of the day or night. Amazing stars, snow and wildlife -- deer and elk. The cabin kept us cozy even as temperatures were at ir below freezing for days. Thank you for a great stsy.

Wonderful place with great owners!
Everything about this stay was great, especially sitting in the hot tub while our baby napped in the afternoon. The owners were responsive to our inquiries, and it was great that they had a pack-n-play on the property. We'll be back!

Comfy & Cozy Cabin
We had such a great time at this awesome cabin with spectacular views of the mountains! We had everything we needed at the cabin so just bought groceries in the nearby town of Westcliffe which had nice shops and friendly people. It was especially amazing and relaxing to sit in the hot tub and gaze at the snow capped mountains in June!

Peace, Quiet and the Magnificent View
This cabin has one of the best views of the Sangre de Cristos mountain range. The neighborhood is extremely quiet with a lot of space between homes. We enjoyed the hot tub. Views of the mountains by day, stars at night. We heard the elk bellow at dusk. Never saw them, but they were all around us. Convenient to have laundry so we could pack lighter. This cabin is basic, furniture is sturdy, but some in a little rough shape, like the dining table. We thought the rental was reasonably priced. There is a wonderful Mexican restaurant in Westcliffe, Azteca, and a good burger joint, Chappy's. We were there to hike. That did not disappoint. If you are coming from lower elevation it will take a little time to acclimate to hike, bike, etc.If you are looking for peace, quiet, and mountain views, as we were, this is perfect.

Absolutely Beautiful
We had the most amazing stay at the cabin. I only wish we could have stayed longer. The cabin was very clean, well stocked, private, and comfortable. The views are stunningly gorgeous. We loved sitting the porch and watching the sunsets, observing the local wildlife, and enjoying a drink in the hot tub after a day of exploring the mountains. The loft master bed was the most comfortable I have ever experienced at a Vrbo property. Our host was so welcoming and available for anything we might need. The town of Westcliffe is so quaint and friendly. Highly reccommend a meal at "Chappys" on main street (our host's suggestion). This was the perfect getaway to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary. We had a week of full moons so we can't wait to return for some more star gazing and relaxation.

Stunning, quiet, and cozy
Absolutely earns its branding for stargazing. And so blissfully quiet. A perfect place to get away, and we would absolutely book it again in the future.
Only slight complaint is the oven doesn't seem to work, so I'd plan your meals around that. But it didn't hamper our enjoyment in the least.
