Good value but not flawless
Room was comfortable, clean and warm. Issues with bathroom plumbing- I had to adjust ballcock to stop significant overspill from toilet tank, and toilet also blocked later in stay. Welcome at reception was not especially friendly. Overall, though, this was good value for money.

Most disappointing hotel
Unfortunately we opened our room door, the smell of musty/sewerage hit us, we opened the window which was left open for the duration of our stay which really is not the accepted done thing, at the beginning of February. The bathroom had peeling paint, dust and an plenty of loose hair on the flat surfaces and the sewerage smell prevailed in there. No hotel information pack in bedroom which you would normally expect in a very basic B&B. Had to spend sometime at reception as on my confirmation we had breakfast but they had as room only...so had to present my hotels.com confirmation to obtain breakfast for my wife and I. Very disappointed with this hotel and surprised its on Hotels.com list as the worst hotel I've ever booked through this site whether for business or pleasure, which is plentiful. Beautiful hotel from outside but very disappointing inside. I understand they have new ownership, i only hope they have what it takes to bring it back to its formal glory. Unfortunately for my wife and I the little break away with sea view was spoiled.

The hotel was lovely and our room was fab but the hotel was ‘too’ dog friendly in my opinion, I don’t agree with dogs being on hotel seating especially if not on a blanket or something as I don’t want to sit on dog hair or anything else they leave behind due to carelessness of owners. The hotel should consider having some non-dog bedrooms tooz
