Always layout, stinky carpet. Old and tight.

The worst of all hotels we have stayed in whistler. It has a potential to be quite good due to its prime location and proximity to gondola. However it was si neglected and unkept. Upon entrance the carpet smelled like dirty socks because it’s old and absorbs the moisture from snow and wet conditions. So when it dries out all the nasty smell hits your nose. The ac control has on and of no t control or other options. The blankets are ridiculously thin and the Murphy bed downstairs is so uncomfortable and loud. The layout of the room makes no sense - when bed is down you cannot go around - we kept hitting our legs and tripping over the edge of the bed. The layout of the bathroom is awkward too with the door swinging on the inside almost feeling trapped wher you are inside. Unless you are thin and slim you’d have troubles squeezing trough.the light switches make zero sense! It was a poor experience overall and we will definitely not replay it.

The rooms are large and well equipped; however, they are long overdue for a major renovation. Also, the walls are paper thin and thus you hear every footstep and noise from your neighbours above. Apart from this, which whistler has always been known for, I would stay here again.

Good location, could be cleaner

Room was fine, although the shower is low ceiling, so if you are over 6'1 you might want to keep that in mind. There is no noise isolation between floors, so you will hear the heavy stompers wondering if they feel and hurt themselves, or just walked around... Outdoor pool is nice but not super clear. Plus other guests don't seem to have an issue throwing things in the water so that doesn't help. Soap was missing in all the hotel washrooms that we used (near the indoor hot tub and the one near the external pool) The little bit of the staff we saw at check-in and check-out was nice.

Our stay in unit 302 at Whistler Village Inn and Suites was the worst unit we’ve stayed at in 10yrs. On paper it sounded good as a “superior loft” but once we got to the floor we knew we had made a bad decision. The whole floor reeks like smokers although all units are smoke-free, and our unit also reeked like some weird chemical or that organic fermented nasty sanitizer that companies were using during COVID. The loft area has flooring issues and is incredibly noisy and needs replacement. The fact everything smelled like that and the maintenance issues is only being supported by the great location of the hotel. They couldn’t limp along with the prices they charge without replacing the carpets and other fabrics that all that nasty smell clings to. The bed felt very cheap as well. The pool was in a separate building, which you don’t find out until you check in, and very small with a very small hot tub. There is a second larger hot tub in the building our unit was in. The unit stated as being pet friendly on Expedia but the hotel charged us an extra fee, and you can’t leave your dog for more than half an hour if it gets nervous, so good luck on any dinner plans or spending time in the pool as a whole family. Management accepted lies from other guests about our dog barking in the middle of the day after he had been alone after 45 minutes saying our dog had been barking for 3 to 4 hours, so they cater to liars as well. We will never stay at this hotel again. Overall awful.

March Break mixed experience

Not a great overall experience unfortunately. Stayed 4 nights over March breach with family. Room is nice enough but smelled a bit musty/smokey on arrival. Hot tub and pool were only warm/functional for 2 of the days and was in another building. Kitchen is also quite small with half fridge and no dishwasher. Fireplace only takes duraflame logs and didn’t seem to vent properly. On the plus side it was relatively quiet and location is great right near the lifts

Would absolutely come back!

We had a fantastic experience with the Queen Loft. It was spacious and the couch downstairs folded out into a bed. We also loved the kitchenette that was fully stocked. Check in/out was easy and the front desk staff were attentive and friendly. Parking was also very easy! The place was quiet. The TV had a casting feature which made streaming convenient and WiFi was reliable and speedy. Overall smooth experience with details that exceeded my expectations. FYI - all ski gear must be stored in a downstairs locker.
