The breakfast room had a broken waffle maker with leftover waffle batter stuck to the waffle maker and a handwritten note that the waffle maker was "out of order". There was still batter in a dispenser. No coffee available and only one bin of cereal (who knows how long that has been there?) There were broken windows in the hotel, broken light fixtures, water damaged ceiling in the pool area and no towels. The room was dirty and the bathroom was scary including the child sized toilet.

Formal Complaint - Unacceptable Conditions & Safety Issues - I am writing to express my extreme disappointment regarding my current stay at this hotel. My experience has been completely unacceptable and far below the advertised standards. There have been multiple severe failures regarding my reservation: • Accessibility & Safety: I explicitly requested a 1st-floor room with mobile accessibility. Upon arrival, I was told this was unavailable due to remodeling. This was never communicated to me during booking. Failing to disclose construction that impacts accessibility is a major oversight and has made my stay difficult and unsafe. • Zero Housekeeping: I followed your policy and requested housekeeping in advance. It has now been two days, and my room has not been touched. The trash is overflowing, and I have no clean towels. • Missing Basic Amenities: The room was not stocked with basic necessities. I have no toilet paper and no coffee, despite your listing stating these are provided. The customer service I have received when trying to address these issues has been horrible. I am paying for a service that is not being rendered. I expect an immediate response regarding how you intend to rectify this situation and compensate me for this miserable experience.

I like staying here. The employees are great and it feels very hometown. Breakfast is small and simple. They have fresh waffles and coffee.

It was just after dark when we arrived. The breakfast room still food on the tables. The first room they gave us hadn’t been touched from the previous guest. Next room the AC didn’t work. The third room the towels were stained with makeup. Too tired to go elsewhere. The only desk person stayed in a black pickup in the parking lot

This property is not well maintained. The room was basic clean, but the facilities are not being kept up. In addition, they didn’t have the type room we reserved (we arrived by 5pm- not late). The breakfast was cereal and a waffle. The waffle area was not clean. Would not recommend.

I had no idea the charming town of Wilcox even existed until a car breakdown led me there during a car breakdown. What started as an inconvenience turned into a delightful adventure! I found myself staying for a few days, and the warmth and hospitality of the locals wrapped around me like a cozy blanket. The hotel staff pulled out all the stops to ensure I had everything I could possibly need, treating me to the kind of luxury and amenities you'd expect at a five-star resort. If you're looking for a hidden gem to visit, I can't recommend this place enough! In fact, I'm already planning to bring my whole family for our next vacation, because Wilcox has captured my heart!
