Days are for exploring the western U.P.: agate hunting along the Lake Michigan shoreline, kayaking and waterfalls within easy reach, and small-town Michigan in every direction. Island Resort and Casino, with dining and golf, is about three miles away, and Escanaba and Little Bay de Noc are roughly 16 miles northeast.
