Peaceful cabin on the lake

The loons nest was just what we were looking for. It had easy access to the atv/utv trails and was right on the water to enjoy kayaking and the kids could swim. The cabin itself is somewhat dated but it was just what we needed, nothing fancy. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful scenic lake with very little boat traffic and plenty of good fishing. Perfect spot for a relaxing weekend with family, away from the noise and lights of town. Still close enough to Hayward for a fun day trip, and lots of wildlife to enjoy (we saw deer in the yard, saw and heard loons on the lake, and saw a fox and an elk on our way to Hayward). Cute, clean cabin with just about everything you could need, and limited WiFi which was perfect. Exactly the kind of place you want to experience the laid back feeling of “being up north”.
