The overall experience was "fine". The room was clean and the location was very walkable to the center. A few inconveniences and annoyances:
1) I reserved 2 rooms, of which they could only find one reservation when we checked in even though I had called to confirm our arrival that morning.
2) They couldn't find our reserved parking spot, also confirmed during our phone conversation.
3) We paid for breakfast but were not able to get breakfast the first day due to a late check-in (breakfast orders need to be placed by 6pm). This information would have been appreciated in one of the many pre-arrival conversations/emails. The money was not refunded and nothing close to an apology was even offered.
4) The days we did get breakfast, the meal was inconsistent. One day we were given coffee, as ordered, one day we were not. One day rolls and fruit were provided, one day they were not.
5) Construction was taking place on the exterior directly outside the room. The windows were covered with plastic and it was quite noisy.
6) The elevator was broken, no big deal, but the motion sensored lights in the stairwell and hallways were not coming on. Mild safety hazard and slightly creepy...
Some of the staff were very pleasant, the room was comfortable and clean but overall it was an odd experience.
