The room was clean overall, and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was pretty good for a continental style breakfast. On the negative side the bathroom door handle was broken and wouldn't lock, and there was a sock in the shower curtain. I used the pool in the am and there were no towels. The front desk said that I'd have to wait until housekeeping arrived at 9am.

Clean and fine overall but paper-thin walls and no sound insulation at all. We could hear absolutely everything happening either in the room next door otlr in the corridor. Doors also had springs that stopped short of closing and then banged loudly. The breakfast was typical continentale breakfast with cereals, waffle maker and waffles dough, yogurts, hard boiled eggs, mini muffins, milk, coffee, etc... I thought I had read the room would have a fridge but it didn't. It did have a coffee maker and a microwave. Heating and A/C both worked but the A/C needs to be cleaned as it smells of very strong mold when on the low fan setting, couldn't really use it except on max due to that.

The ac/ heating unit is dirty and has mold/dust in the air vents and smelled when turned on, the desk chair has a rip on the seat, the lounge chair is soiled/dirty on the arms, the light shade has a horizontal stain on it all of the circumference. The bathroom sink faucet drips. The breakfast area had guests bring their dogs in, the yogurt was out in the open not in a refrigerator, the juice machine was not working. I will never stay here again. Any Major Hotel chain should be ashamed to be part of them.

Staff called me and before we arrived told me i would have a king bed for my stay. We got our room it was a small bed room smelled horrible i want a refund it was not fun stay very noise too.

The staff was very nice, especially the woman at front that checked us in( her name is escaping my memory). The property outside was very clean, pool area clean, etc. Room was still dusty, but overall looked clean enough. Mostly this hotel just needs some TLC, like the bathroom walls had stains and spackle over spots, but definitely needed new paint. Lamp shades dirty, chair had some weird stains on it. Little things. The toilet however was comically small and the lid was like wisp thin and a joke. I almost fell over when I sat down on toilet first time, I dont think I have been on a toilet that short and small since about Elementary school. I guess it fit the tiny bathroom and super low sink, so there is that. I think a short person and children would love it! Toilet pressure was horrid, nothing wanted to flush, even about 2 sheets of TP. Finally figured out you just have to hold down the flusher a very long time(flusher was also cracked and looked like it might break off at any moment). The pressure really isnt an issue, but they could benefit from just leaving a little sign up that says hold down knob until everything is gone, I imagine they must get some nasty clogs if all the toilets are that weak! For the price point, it was honestly great. Just that little nit-picky stuff. Location was super convenient and easy to find.

This was a last minute decision to stay in Yakima vs a long drive home. The Super 8 was adequate for our needs of the evening especially because we had our dog with us. It could use a little updating but the shower surround was great!

Property was convenient to freeway and restaurants. There was major water on the bathroom floor and carpet very wet outside the room entrance. We received a 6 am call warning us about this. Was supposed to hear from management. Still no contact with anyone and it's been a week now.
