Great location by Old Faithful. Main lodge is fantastic. The room we had in the west wing was very small and noisy. Other than the noise, it was what we were expecting.

Property and dining venues were understaffed. Waited for our table even though we had reservations. Weren’t told till we were seated that the dining room was buffet only. Price was posted as $39.99 and when our bill arrived $49.99 per person. Food was cold and not good. Left feeling scammed.

Food options were horrible after 8pm. Non existent... if you didn't have a dining reservation or in my case all day of adventures...i didn't feel like eating around people. I did try the breakfast buffet. Expected so much better for the price level of stay. Basic quality at best.

It’s very rustic, nice place. Check in was very rough, we waited for 2.5 hours to get our room. It was 6:30pm before we could get our room. There were several people waiting for rooms.

Stayed here for one night on their first weekend opened for this season. PROS: -The hotel itself is beautiful and full of historic charm. -Our room was spacious, clean, and quiet -Outdoor walkways and geyser paths clearly labeled and well maintained CONS: -The buffet style dinner offered has very limited options and I felt was overpriced at $49/person. Also we were still charged full price even after they had run out of several of the menu items. -Staff members are seasonal seemed very untrained. Examples include someone telling us to visit places that were currently closed (biscuit basin, west butte), servers not knowing the difference between red/white wines or where replacement serving ware for the buffet foods were, and overhearings a worker at the front desk tell some guests they should drive south to the Grand Tetons via a road that was still closed for the winter.

I absolutely loved the fantastic location and the wonderful old-fashioned charm of this hotel. The service was also outstanding, with remarkable attention to detail evident everywhere, even in the restrooms. The breakfast was excellent and offered good value. My only minor disappointment was that the lovely lobby fireplace wasn't lit. While dinner was a little expensive, the overall experience was still very positive.

Exactly as I expected. A wonderful experience. Of course you can’t beat the location! They had just opened for the season. You would never have guessed it. Staff was very efficient and friendly. Early season is the way to go

I absolutely love it here. I don't understand the negative reviews. This is a historic building so expecting it to have 5 star amenities is a mistake on the part of guests, not the hotel. Our stay was comfortable, clean, safe and we had everything we needed. If you need air conditioning do not stay here, or come mentally prepared. The building isn't made to be able to handle that kind of upgrade and that's why it's so fabulous!
