Upon arrival at the Grantham Arms, we were welcomed warmly by staff. The atmosphere was friendly and cheerful on the Saturday before Christmas. Our room was well-appointed and very cosy. The decor was stylish and comfortable with plenty of cushions and good quality bed linen and towels. There were lots of extras - we particularly liked the biscuits - and the tea and coffee making facilities were great. The room and en suite shower room were both extremely clean and we felt that the standard of housekeeping was especially high. good bedside tables, a dressing table, two chairs and a wardrobe offered ample furnishings. A lovely, cosy room only lacking a window. The lights seemed to be quite dim and, without natural light in the room, it would have been great to have brighter lights. That's just a minor point, as we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Very good and easy check in. As a coeliac they also catered very well with the pub having a gluten free beer and gluten free cereal option. Breakfast was excellent with local bacon and great service from the staff

Absolutely brilliant stay - great location, really warm and friendly welcome, incredible room (junior suite), lovely outdoor Christmas set up. I didn't eat there but can imagine it being delicious. Lovely staff on this morning for checkout. I will definately be returning at some point! Highly recommended.

Despite a couple of minor issues the staff were apologetic and immediately came up with a solution that we were impressed with. The food is great! And the rooms are lovely (amazing showers)!! We live staying here and will be back.

What a find in a beautiful area. Short trip off the A1 and absolutely stunning pub with rooms. Rooms were great, comfortable clean and has everything you will need for a good stay. Dinner was really tasty. Didn’t stop for breakfast but can only imagine how nice it would be. Would definitely recommend and would stay next time I am in the area

We had a fabulous two days at the Grantham Arms, the property was clean, the staff were so friendly, helpful and could not do enough for us, plus the room was lovely. We booked the breakfast and this was amazing, cooked to perfection for us. We will definitely go there again.

Perfect location

Our first stay here with friends , but won’t be our last Will return with our pooch as also dog friendly. Very helpful and friendly Staff , rooms clean and comfortable, evening meal and breakfast both excellent. Great location for visiting various parts of north Yorkshire .
