Everything just felt right. From the atmospheric courtyard, the cozy reception area and the long gallery for drinks through to the room and bathroom - it felt very welcoming and traditional. All the staff were amazingly helpful and really made us want to come back another time.

The reception was first class. The room very clean with a wonderfully comfortable bed. The breakfast was also very good but some might say lacked much choice ie fresh fruit etc. however all the staff we encountered were friendly and very helpful. Wonderful personal staff and attention to detail!

We had a lovely stay! Susanna made sure that we were well taken care of. All the staff has such pride in the grounds and history. The location is close to everything. Very nice breakfasts and even a bag with water and a snack for our travels when we checked out!
