Great Staff and Hotel in a Great Location

The staff I came across during my stay couldn't have been friendlier, the room was nice and spacious with a lovely modern bathroom. The hotel had a real family vibe to it, I stay away for business a lot and it made a nice change to staying in the chain hotels

Lovely Family Run Hotel

Our stay was lovely, staff were friendly, efficient and cheerful, which made the stay even nicer, the room was spacious very clean and comfortable, with tea and coffee facilities in the room along with hotel biscuits was a nice touch, Breakfast choices were excellent and delicious and hot when arrived at the table,along with constant top up of tea or coffee ,brilliant.. Thank you for a lovely few days

The location is excellent and the staff are fabulous. Michelle at reception was very personable. Stewart and Laura provided outstanding service at breakfast. We were disappointed that there were four issues with our room that should not have been that way on our arrival. The most troubling issue was the toilet did not work. We had to clean the toilet on arrival and then discovered it did not flush. They could not fix it until the next day so we had to use the toilet by reception. This was very difficult for someone who deals with IBS. We moved to another room the next day in case the toilet and other issues were not fixed but we did not have access to the new room until after 1:00. We were surprised management did not appreciate the challenges we had and offer some sort of retribution. Even a refund on our parking would have made us feel better since we moved our belongings to our car while waiting for the new room. The only response the manager said was they don’t know if customers don’t mention it. Well the cleaning person should have known the toilet didn’t work if they had cleaned it and someone could have fixed it before our arrival. There was a letter in the room commenting they are a small independent family owned hotel and requested problems be reported to them rather than posting reviews. I gave every opportunity for the manager to deal with our concerns and make it right before doing this review. We did not hear anything.

Newly renovated and very close to York Minster and other attractions. Pleasant and friendly staff, nice room and ensuite bathroom. Secure and easy parking once you know the procedure. We very much enjoyed our stay here

Lovely York

Had a lovely stay. We were a couple and had the family room which gave us lots of space…staff all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really good. Easy walking distance in to York. On site parking . Enjoyed out two night stay. Would recommend the hotel.

Centrally located, family run hotel which had just had rooms updated beautifully. Great staff, all smiles and very friendly. Good breakfast to set you up for the days sightseeing. Now we have foubd it we'll never let it go. 😆

Lovely hotel

Lovely quiet hotel, 10 minutes walk from York Minster. Staff were very helpful and friendly. A great room, very nicely decorated, would definitely use again. Only slight complaint is the full English breakfast was over cooked.

Its a great hotel in a fantastic location, 5 mins walk from the York minster. Staff are so friendly and welcoming and can't do enough to help you. Room was on the top floor, very comfortable and lovely bright decor. . Parking on site is also a big bonus. Breakfast was delicious and plentyful. Thankyou to all the great team.
