I would classify Lavandula more as a guesthouse than a hotel, given that it has only about 10 rooms and limited common area. There is, however, a nice little area to sit outside, and it is just a couple of hundred meters from the beach. It's just under a mile to the old town, which can be reached by walking along the beach (for most of the way), although it is slightly shorter to walk along the street.
My room wasn't fancy, but it had a nice modern design and was very clean. I was surprised when I was told Lavandula is about 10 years old, because I thought it was much newer based on the design and condition. I chose Lavandula primarily because it had convenient parking. It's not a luxury property and it's not in the center of the action, but it is walkable and for someone looking for a good, reasonably priced place to stay, this is an excellent choice.
