Hotel is newer but must see lots of trade workers. Common areas could be cleaned better. Not sure the sheets on the one bed were clean. Room was non smoking but smelled like 2nd hand smoke.

Very nice front desk person. Quickly got us to our room. Had to switch rooms quickly as toilet handle was broken off. Second room not so clean. There are mirrors above the headboard of the beds and they both were not cleaned as you could see the where the previous peoples heads were resting against. The rugs in both rooms were pretty nasty and I believe it's due to dogs being allowed, not sure. Our room was not vacuumed as there were clearly strings left on the floor. Breakfast is free but the only thing that was any good was the coffee and there was no creamer for that, only that fake french vanilla stuff. Kinda sucks bc with a little bit of extra work, it could be a good place. Great location and was quiet.

Our first room had a large untreated urine spot on the carpet. We were moved to another room that had considerable mold or mildew on the ceiling of the bathroom. I addressed this with the desk clerk and was told management would be in touch. We should have left at this point but we were tired. This used to be a great place to stay on our frequent trips east, but will not return.

Hard to wash away the stink without water

I have no idea how this place would get any positive reviews. First, the carpet in the rooms and hallway were extremely dirty and had a horrible smell. Every chair in the breakfast area was so stained they looked like they must be 30 years old and never cleaned. No water when we woke up...so no shower...no flushing toilets. Went to ask at the front desk and after the guy finally came out from the back room where he always was when you went to the desk...he said we hope it will be fixed in 30 minutes or so, if not a maintenance man should come to work in an hour. No coffee...thought it was related to the water issue, but no...after the water eventually did come back on, still no coffee...asked the same guy...hiding in the same place...he came over and opened the machine...which looked like it hadn't been cleaned inside...ever. It didn't seem like he knew what he was doing and after his efforts...still no coffee. Not a great start to our morning...and I would wish for my enemies to sleep in this pit. Mentioned these frustrations upon checkout...the owner will contact me...still waiting more than a day later.

When we got up there was no water in the hotel and we were told this had happened 3-4 times before. This may not be the hotel’s problem but they should be prepared and their only response was we called the owner and the maintenance guy will be in around 7am? It was disappointing that there was no backup plan or notification and we had to depart early so we couldn’t shower, shave or even brush our teeth. Also no coffee or breakfast!

Perfect!

We chose this hotel for an overnight stay. We were very pleased with how the room looked and it was very clean. It is close to restaurants and department stores. Would stay here again.

The desk person was very helpful getting the heat to work and to get me on the internet when it wasn't working for me. He also apologized and explained why we had thin, stained, torn washcloths and towels (an error in who did the service). There was little breakfast left well before service ended, coffee wasn't ready so we went elsewhere for breakfast.
