I arrived at motel tired and cold looking forward to a hot evening meal ..the restaurant was closed, I ask where the nearest restaurant was and was told IKEA just up the street has a nice little cafe unit it was about 15 degrees windy and raining I am 72 years old.my room was outside and up stairs. One more thing the motel was booked out it was Adelaides turn to host the AFL Gather Round .! G, Hartshorn

No frills but comfy enough

The reception staff were very lovely and helpful. The location was outside of the inner city so perfect for the airport but not great for the city - $20 Uber to city one way. The motel itself was defo no frills. Bed, tv, desk, shower with gels etc, kettle. Not very sound proofed but comfortable enough. We stayed 3 nights although probably more of a one night stay type place. Lots of leaflets on things to do, a packed breakfast option available, and a fantastic ‘dial a taxi’ bell on front desk.

Be aware there is No lift to access upstairs rooms so don’t bring large suitcases as you need to lug them up two flights of stairs to the first floor and down again. Rooms were clean and basic.

I had a late check-in and when I arrived to collect my key from the night safe was met by whom I assume was a manager. Instantly, he was rude and unwelcoming. Not a good precedent to set before your guest has even set foot inside the building.
