Just came back from a week at this resort. Beautiful property & their employees worked so hard. We stayed in room 2840 (ocean view). Our room had some issues (toilet wouldn’t flush, only extremely hot water…both were fixed within a day). Our kids room was extremely hot (also fixed but still hot). There was a time when both our keys didn’t work and we had to wait for security, then had to go to the front desk to get new keys. The room refrigerator was not restocked multiple days in a row, although our “light” was turned on to restock. Minor things but still annoying. Our biggest setback with the hotel was that as soon as we got there, we could only make reservations for dinner for 3/6 nights (2 of those being the same place). Although the buffet was the best we’ve had in the past 20x of being to that area, we still got tired of eating the buffet. If you need to wait for a shuttle, it does take a while (not an issue for us but for my in laws that were traveling with us). On the plus side, there was a dolphin excursion on the property that was about a 10 minute walk and definitely worth the money. The beach was beautiful, not over crowded and there was always a shaded place to put our towels under. We would probably not stay here again but don’t regret booking this place for one time. Lots of wildlife around property which we all enjoyed. The employees were very friendly and worked hard to accommodate everyone.

Loved the 3 pool areas except that they weren't cleaned up each night. Ketchup packets and glasses all over. Shuttle service was terrible. Waited twice over 30 minutes and no shuttles. Service was slow! Did have a wonderful massage on the beach and did the dolphin experience. Paid for both of those and they were excellent.

Right from the check in the staff made our visit special. I had some concerns with how the rooms were booked and the Expedia representative addressed them immediately and the help of our check in person. They were able to have our two rooms together to be closer to our girls. The food was great at the park buffet for breakfast and lunch. Miguel was our waiter for most of the days. He always as cheerful and attentive. All the themed restaurants were top notch. Our personal favorite was the Peruvian restaurant. Oh and If you book through Expedia, we got a beach themed dinner, which was also amazing. Speaking of Expedia, if you book through them, the grand Sirenis had special food and really gave us special attention. The beach was awesome, great food options down there and some nice snorkeling. The dive shop guys were also awesome. We dove on day using the resort. Good guys and convenient diving options. Only critique would be I was unable to book before I arrived, so I did find other options before to make sure I secured enough dives for my family. Overall great place to stay, great people, great food. Thanks for a great holiday.

We enjoyed the variety of pools, allowing us to take advantage of quieter pools and away from the swim up bar pools when we needed a break. The breakfast buffet at Butchers was excellent. Our room was satisfactory, but room service was minimal, with daily bed-making being the only service noticed. We had to request water multiple times, and extra water beyond the 3L daily limit came with an additional charge, which was frustrating for an all-inclusive experience. The air conditioning was inadequate, and we often relied on the ceiling fan for comfort. The restaurant reservation process was cumbersome, with limited availability, and we couldn’t get reservations at three restaurants we wanted to try. Service at the themed restaurants was friendly but slow and disorganized. The resort is large, so expect a lot of walking, although a shuttle service is available. On our last two days, advertised lunch buffets were closed without explanation. We appreciated the resort’s ecotourism efforts, but the beach, while offering a beautiful view of the Gulf of Mexico, had coarse sand and was not ideal for walking. The hydrotherapy at the spa was an experience we enjoyed. We enjoyed the spa's hydrotherapy experience. However, the locker rooms and waiting area need improvement, as the space feels cramped and awkward for guests checking in alongside those awaiting services. The gym met our needs, with ample stationary bikes, though the weight room felt tight but manageable.

Upon arrival we were greeted by Eduardo the front deck gentleman. I had some concerns about how our booking was with the resort. He was able to accommodate my family to make sure we had two rooms close together. Karen also was able to help our needs and made us feel special right from the get go. Grounds are beautiful and the shuttles will help you get around if you don’t want to walk. My family loves to walk so we would get between 12 and 15,000 steps a day ❤️ The park is a good buffet for breakfast and lunch and our man Miguel took care of us every day and brought the best lattes, water and was very attentive. The themed restaurants were all top notch. The Peruvian restaurant was our favorite. All the coffee and ice creams shops were the best! The mango ice cream was my personal favorite!! Also being we booked through Expedia, we had a special Beachside dinner, which was wonderful Dive shop was great and convenient. When we critique is, I could not book our dives before we got there so I did find other options to ensure my family was able to dive all week The shop on site accommodated us for 2 ocean dives. Entire staff was great, and the equipment was in good shape for the rentals. Great overall resort and we may be back….which my family does not say often

This property was outdated. Many of the offers weren't available. There was constant construction going on in the middle of the day. Our keys didnt' work three times and it took them hours of multiple calls to finally change our room. There were worms in the water facet. My kids have a video of it. The food was left out so everything was cold or older. The money we spent did not represent the quality. I would never recommend this place. Highly disappointed. The staff were friendly, but they don't communicate with housekeeping and front of house. Room service took three hours and four different phone calls.

Grand Sirenis has the staff ever! in guest services Karen, Juan and Erik went over and beyond to help out on a couple issues we had. not to mention the manager Edgar P. He was a million places at once. He assisted with our restaurant reservations and helped my mom out when she slipped. This team is definitely a caring and thoughtful group. we also had phenomenal service from Merwin at the Butcher restaurant. very attentive. i will be coming back in march to visit all my favorite staff! Since my last stay 3 years ago, this resort has been completely renovated and updated. The food is top notch now and there are so many fine dining options. There is tons of comfortable seating everywhere. The lobby bar makes the best espresso martinis as well. There is also a lunch at the beach daily, they cook ribeye steaks, chicken, chorizo and much more. it’s so fresh and seasoned to perfection. i could go on and on but we will be back.

My family stayed at this resort first week of spring break. Our 2 teens had a blast (16 & 14). We found the resort to be beautiful and well maintained. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious and many options. Drinks seemed a bit weak but we aren’t big drinkers, so it wasn’t a big deal. We are already discussing going back. A very wonderful and memorable vacation.

We had many issues. Key card did not work and at 10:30PM we were stuck for close 1 and half hrs to get one card. Then got them fixed cards did not work. Tuesday went back and finally key cards finally worked. No air conditioner set at 60 we should have froze but did not almost too hot to sleep. Sister and law are diabetic took days for them to put diet coke in the fridge. Then never replenished except with sugar pops. Your sort of handicapped but trying to get to the theatre at night with a walker was very difficult usually one of the barkeepers came and helped me so I would not fly down the rap. Breakfast buffets were good but at night found it was poor. But thanks to Jose who made me smile everyday, Johnathan who shuttled us around and made sure we got to front desk when we left. Ice and Ricardo who tried to help.

My family & I are so happy we made the right decision to stay at this property. We were a bit apprehensive at first due to some bad reviews but glad we didn’t listen. This place is beautiful and enormous. They did a great job renovating the resort. Although, hopefully the rooms will get the same treatment eventually. There are so many things to do here. The beach was absolutely gorgeous, we enjoyed it so much especially after the seaweeds got cleared out. The kids loved the snorkeling area! Pools are also fun! If you enjoy nature, this is your place. We appreciated all the trees everywhere. There were monkeys, birds, iguanas & all kinds of animals you’ll see around the property. There’s def that jungle vibe, which we loved so much! The food is nothing but the best, esp all the restaurants we tried. The buffet and the grill by the beach were our go to’s! Btw, Angel @ the buffet was the best server, and also Irene by the pool. They were attentive and have the best attitude! The regular drinks are ok btw- they all kind of taste the same but the ones we had at the resto were top notch! Our favorite would be the lobby bar, Mixologia. Freddy and Manuel are the finest bartenders! All the drinks they made were unbelievable. You will find us there every night! The staff def made our stay special & we were so thankful. From day1, Karen & Eric took really good care of me & my family. They made our experience absolutely wonderful! We would love to stay again, thank you so much Sirenis!

I really had to think long and hard about making this review. The grounds are amazing. Staff is beyond amazing genuinely friendly and go beyond to make sure that you are having a enjoyable experience on all levels. The la carte restaurants were lovely we had no problem booking same day.. The buffets were fantastic as well lots of choices and great quality food. They're trying really hard to update the rooms. They're actively making improvements and if there is anything wrong with your room if you make a complaint they do deal with it immediately. That being said, the air conditioner was not blowing very cold air we didn't complain about it so that was on us even though it was warm at night. I would definitely return. It was a very memorable and enjoyable vacation

Beautiful property... Cold buffet food, cockroaches coming out of the toilet, ants in the room, broken patio door, and backed up shower that flooded the room on the first day. Won't be going back!

The rooms were exactly as advertised. The staff were absolutely amazing. I would especially acknowledge Abraham who took care of any issue we had immediately (by issue, I mean our toilet didn’t flush fast/fully by American standards). He checked in with us several times a day to make sure things were perfect. The food at each restaurant was very average/mediocre and the beach was not cleaned of seaweed in a timely fashion. In any case, the staff made the overall experience feel as if guest comfort was of the utmost importance. Our group felt safe and secure throughout the stay.
