What a gorgeous property! Owners were very accommodating and helpful, and gave us names of great restaurants, a couple with shuttle service. Our room was 200 stairs down next to the breakfast area. We could hear some breakfast noise in the morning. The view was spectacular. Walking to town involved a lot of stairs. The city bus is easy access right at the front of the property. Be mindful of what it looks like when you bus back, as they don't announce the same name you are expecting. Bus was a convenient way to get to the water/ferries/heart of Amalfi. I would recommend to anyone who doesn't mind the extra steps. We thought it was worth it!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Orleans. Gerald was very kind and incredibly hospitable. The view was beautiful and we loved having our cappuccino on the terrace every morning where Gerald and his team were eager to make us eggs if we wanted them, and just did all they could to make us feel comfortable and welcome. We highly recommend visiting Villa Orleans!

This was truly an amazing experience, it feels like you are at home. The owner welcome you and provide breakfast and answer any questions and even gave us a ride to town on the first day to make things so easy and feeling lost. Great staff and very very friendly.

If you book your stay at Villa Orleans, be ready to meet some of the nicest people you may ever come across. Gerardo, his wife, the staff, and their wonderful family-run hotel made our stay truly unforgettable. Gerardo was super helpful and kind, even offering to pick us up from the arrival point and later driving us to the Amalfi port on our way back. While we were still there, we were already planning our next trip to Italy, knowing we would stay only in Amalfi and definitely only at Villa Orleans. The rooms were spotless, beautifully decorated, and very chic in style. I highly recommend this hotel. You will find genuine warmth from the people, spectacular views, an amazing breakfast, and a true taste of Amalfi. I honestly cannot recommend it enough.

Gerardo and Orleans made our trip to Amalfi very memorable. They’re great hosts, breakfast was amazing and the pool is a great place to relax after a day of exploring! Easy to walk into Amalfi which takes around 25 minutes, but there’s also a bus stop up some stairs from the property. Would highly recommend choosing Villa Orleans!

Beautiful place, modern, clean with great air conditioning, hosts are amazing and very helpful. The views are stunning from the balcony. Highly recommended. Only tip is if you don’t want to catch the bus into Amalfi, hire a bike. It’s a short walk down to Amalfi but there are many steps. Walking back isn’t so easy. Unless you can easily hike a mountain!

Seaview hillside small hotel in Amalfi

Pros - family run small hotel with gorgeous views of Amalfi coast (especially from the breakfast room) - knowledgeable & personable host who collected & dropped us to port on arrival & departure - very good breakfast with made to order eggs, fruits, yoghurts & a cold plate with veggies, Italian cheeses & meats - spacious bedroom with blackout blind, great air con & a large balcony with loungers & a sea view - Medium size bathroom with great multihead shower & toiletries (shampoo & shower gel) Cons - Far out location which felt a bit cut off i.e. no shops or anything around except other houses but there is a direct hourly bus (€1.50 Sita sud tickets available readily from hotel) approx 5 mins walk away which goes into Amalfi port where you can connect to other bus routes or take ferries. A lot of steps so not suitable if you have mobility issues. - Large bed but poor quality mattress with a bed that creaks everytime you move in it - Towels weren't changed in 3 nights we stayed - No bedside lamps to read at night - Poor external sound insulation so if you’re a light sleeper ask for room further away (we were next to breakfast room & bins so noise at night & from before 7am for prep)

The hosts were incredibly kind, helpful, and responsive. The property is clean and has a great view and pool area. The walk from the street to the rooms are about 200 steps so not recommended for elderly but it was a great workout for my boyfriend and I! We enjoyed the exercise. The hosts have bus tickets available at the hotel so that you can go to and from the town with ease. They cook breakfast fresh in the morning and the rooms are very clean. They even gifted us some limoncello that they make themselves to bring home to Canada….it was delicious! 10/10 recommend….:)

Geraldo & Orleans are the most gracious hosts, there are not enough kind words we can to use to describe how we felt from the minute we arrived to the moment we left. Every morning Geraldo was at the kitchen making us fresh breakfast and coffee to our liking, putting together plates of local meats, fruits and vegetables, we felt as if we were at our family vacation home. They went above and beyond by helping us sort out daily plans and arrangements to make the best of our stay. The location is perfect, a 20 minute walk from Amalfi harbour, and a few great restaurants located close by as well. The rooms are impeccable; the infinity pool is one of the best we have ever experienced, with a beautiful view of the Amalfi coast. Each room has a private balcony and there is also a larger balcony for guests to share, all of which are overlooking the coast. Highly recommend, we will definitely be back.

Quiet property in the hills above town of Amalfi. Gerado and his staff were a pleasure. He was so well informed about the area and took such pride in his property. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic. The views were breathtaking. You should be warned that it is about 150 steps to the property. The staff was excellent about bringing our luggage down and back up at the end of our stay. However, if you have mobility issues, this is not the right place for you. The bus is located right outside the top of the property and ia very easy to acccess the town of Amalfi. You cab also, take the stairs down and path right into town. Overall, i would reccommend a stay here if you are looking for a quiet and beautiful place out of the town. I would stay here again 100%

This is a lovely hotel with amazing staff - Gerardo, his wife and the other lovely ladies we met were so helpful. Breakfast was amazing, with a great selection. There is a bus that goes regularly to Amalfi town which was very much needed in the heat! As others have mentioned, there are a lot of steps getting from the road to the hotel but at arrival and departure, there is help with luggage which we were grateful for. All in all, we had a great stay!
