I absolutely loved this place! It has such a unique and charming atmosphere that made my stay truly special. The staff were the best—so kind, helpful, and welcoming throughout the entire day. The location is incredibly convenient, just a short walk to both buses and trains, making it easy to get around. I also loved the charming view of the canal, which added to the overall experience. The only minor downside is that the rooms are a bit older, but that didn’t take away from how lovely the stay was. Would definitely return!

We loved the location of this place. Walking distance to everything and easy to get to public transit when not. There is great park/lawn area to sit out and enjoy. The restaurant and bar got a bit loud on the Friday/Saturday night but we did not hear any of it from our room. The room was comfortable but the temperature was a bit hard to control. All in all it was a great experience!

This place was fantastic from the moment I walked in! The ambiance was so inviting and every staff member was really friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and accommodating and the restaurant downstairs had a great breakfast. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Pension Homeland. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant is great. I would especially recommend the breakfast there. Room is very clean and bed is comfortable. There’s also a great outdoor space with a beautiful view of the water. The only downside to staying here is that it is a bit of a walk to the city center and central station.

Very cool building in a fantastic location. Reasonable walk to the main tourist areas and short walk to the train station. Comfortable clean rooms. Staff is very friendly and helpful, breakfast was delicious. Very limited onsite parking, was able to find offsite paid parking reasonably close.

I stayed at Pension Homeland for two nights with three friends. We had a room that slept four of us. When you walk down to the building it does not look impressive initially but once inside it is perfect. A great vibe around the bar and restaurant. Clean and very comfortable rooms and a 20 minute walk to town. Staff were really friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend for a chilled, comfortable fun weekend.

I didn't know beforehand that it had some historic significance as the old headquarters of the Dutch Navy, that gave it a little extra chic for me. A very nice building, friendly staff, good service.

Family trip to Amsterdam

The Pension Homeland was a wonderful place to stay for our family of four while we were in Amsterdam. Located away from the hustle and bustle yet close enough to walk anywhere we needed. We enjoyed happy hour at the restaurant on sight with some light snacks. Perks: the bedding was wonderful! Walkable distance to restaurants, museums, and local attractions. Overall, we would highly recommend!

I can definitely see staying here next time I'm in Amsterdam. The staff was so friendly, and the room was comfortable and clean. And if you want a cozy meal, I recommend their restaurants downstairs. It was a bit of a walk from Centraal station and some of the sites but you could easily get an Uber/tram ride, but it was nice being in a more peaceful part of the city.

A bit oddly situated, but a very nice property. The interior stylings and decor are quite eclectic and interesting. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The restaurant was surprisingly affordable compared to others we visited in Europe, but still delicious.

Was a nice atmosphere with little sections around the whole hotel. Example is on each floor there is a centre area where you can congregate. Was disappointed with the food menu options as there was not much that suited my pallet.
