Great budget option near Disney

It’s an old building remodeled, but my room had a strong smoke smell. A little loud at night over a weekend with noise heard from the room above us and people talking outside late at night. Parking was full and overflow was just in the liquor stores parking lot which didn’t feel the most secure. Overall the location was great for a trip to Disney and the bathroom was nice!

We’ve used California Inn several times for quick trips to Disney. It’s easy to get in and out, no hassles, no drama, no parking fees. The rooms are remodeled and while it’s not a 5 star hotel, they made things updated and very comfortable. I would recommend that they do some deep(er) cleaning of their rooms in between guests-for example, while the floor had been swept, it definitely wasn’t mopped and you could see some spills and stains. But their beds are clean and sheets are comfy.

Surprisingly super nice

It was the first time we stayed in the California Inn and it was really nice. We weren’t sure when we pulled up because the part of town is a little bit interesting but the motel itself was really great. Newly renovated very clean with a Keurig in the room, soaps and snacks. The bathroom was very spacious & super clean! We would definitely stay there again.

Not noise proof, could be cleaner

Unfortunately, you can hear everything going on outside (cars, sirens, people, high winds) and from your neighbor's room as well, which affected my sleep very much. The front doors have a one inch opening from the bottom of the door to the floor, which I blocked with towels but it was no use. They try to clean the room, but it was obvious things were not wiped down properly and the clean towels smelled funky. They did offer and replace free snacks in the room, which my child enjoyed. Also, the man at the desk was friendly. $10/day for parking was also not bad. Overall, you get what you pay for, but I would not book again since my sleep was terrible for 3 nights, and I think the rating on the Inn is higher than it should be.
