We had a great stay for 11 days here. House was clean; had everything we needed and we loved the jacuzzi. We enjoyed the kayaks, sounds of the Coqui frogs, and iguanas in the backyard. We enjoyed going to Rincon and its beaches (about 15min.), Cabo Rojo and the bioluminescent bay (about one hour each) and Finca La Providencia for a tour of their cocoa farm (about 20 min.). The one downside during our stay was that it had rained quite a bit in the mountains and the sediment, along with some drift wood collected at the beach that is within walking distance of the house, so we weren't able to swim there. It led to us exploring other beaches though. Eric was great to communicate with and quickly took care of the couple of issues that arose during our stay.

If you’re looking to spend time outside, this is an excellent choice! If you hate iguanas, don’t pick this one.We thoroughly enjoyed the yard, the multiple porches/patios, the kayaks, the hot tub and the plants! Breakfast on the river patio, lunch on the hot tub deck, dinner on the front porch, games on the back porch… iguanas and frogs (toads?) provided entertainment, in addition to birds and butterflies and the little gecko/anolls also running around. Surprisingly few bugs! About the inside- its a simple 2bedroom/1 bath main house, the other bathroom is entirely outside and is the “outside shower”, so 2 showers and 2 toilets total. A/C units in each bedroom but not the main part. The kitchen was reasonably functional with the expected random assortment of goods commonly found in a vacation rental. We regularly found not-so-clean things in the cupboards and drawers so we eventually just washed everything before we used it. I think thats probably a challenge with the cleaner instead of the host, but it wasn’t…awesome.Our challenge was that not all he advertised beds were usable. The queen was fine and the bunk beds were fine although labeled with a weight restriction of 165lbs on the top bunk. Neither the top or bottom trundle bed was usable due to missing hardware. We let the host know about the trundle beds problem and he said he would have it fixed, but if those are important to your stay, maybe double check functionality before booking.

The host Eric was so kind and welcoming, very helpful with suggestions on where to go, local attractions and restaurants. The beach was a short walk away (only a few minutes), and it was nice to come and go as we needed. The backyard was full of plants and it felt like a little sanctuary - it has a really nice porch to hang out on during a rainstorm. I would definitely recommend it and would go back again. We really enjoyed our stay!

From the moment I booked, Eric made me feel completely safe and welcome — his kindness and attentiveness went far beyond expectation. He messaged before my arrival, called as I approached to be sure I’d found the place, and checked in each day with warmth but never intrusion. The home rests beside a tranquil river alive with turtles, birds, and the whisper of palm trees. Each morning, I paddled a canoe just eight minutes to reach a hidden sandy beach where the river meets the ocean — a private gateway to sunsets that paint the entire west coast of Puerto Rico in gold.This place was a writer’s dream. I finished my novel here, surrounded by peace, rhythm, and light. Within an hour’s drive are the glowing bioluminescent bay, the ancient ball court ruins of Caguana, and the ocean adventures of Rincón.Eric is more than a host; he’s a steward of serenity. His home is a hidden sanctuary where nature and soul are both beautifully alive.

AMAZING experience!! Great host and beautiful property

We stayed here for a bit more than a week and had nothing but great things to say. The home was simple but had everything we needed for a fun and comfortable stay. The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked most of our meals at home. There also are several restaurants 10-20 minutes away.The back yard was big and our kids had fun seeing all the wildlife of iguanas, parrots, turtles, coqui frogs and even a small friendly python. The river, palm trees, swinging bench and dock in the back were paradise. Eric's 2 canoes were a blast to use, we went for the short 10 minute ride to the secluded beach almost every day. There were also lots of neat places to go snorkeling a short drive away. We visited a bioluminescent bay which was about an hour and a half away. The neighborhood was quiet and inviting, we said hi to both next door neighbors and they were welcoming and friendly. We felt safe and comfortable the whole time.Eric was an incredibly responsive host. Upon booking he was in contact via whatsapp and was welcoming and answered all questions we had. He was accommodating in providing a couple of items to use while we were there, giving suggestions for restaurants and beaches and was fully prepared with a well stocked house and had a spare of almost everything in the stock closet.
