Old motel in need of renovation

Pros: The staff were friendly and informative.
Cons: Everything- it was a tired, old motel that wasn't cheap.
Location: it is too far out of town unless you have a car and would not be recommended to tourists.
This motel is not downtown Anchorage. It's a 25-30min walk to downtown Anchorage and is situated amongst car yards in a slightly dubious area. Well away from a tourist area. Our room was basic and old and shabby. The curtains didn't pull properly and the window wasn't secure as the lock was broken. Our shower also broke but was fixed quickly.
