Summary:
Set on the peaceful Te Whau Peninsula, Te Whau Bach Two is a bright, self-contained two-bedroom apartment with long views across rolling hills and glimpses of water beyond. Calm, comfortable, and easy to live in, it offers open-plan living, a sunny private deck, and a quiet base close to wineries, beaches, and walking trails. It suits couples, friends, or small groups wanting space and simplicity away from the busier parts of the island.
The Space:
Te Whau Bach Two is one of two self-contained apartments positioned in this sought-after peninsula setting. The interior is arranged around an open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area that feels relaxed and practical, with large sliding doors opening to the private deck. This outdoor space is a natural extension of the living area and works well for morning coffee, long lunches, or easy evenings on the BBQ as the light moves across the surrounding bush and valley.
Both bedrooms are calm and well set up, each with its own bathroom, making the layout ideal for two couples or friends travelling together. The kitchen is fully equipped for simple meals at home, and the living area is comfortable for unwinding after days spent exploring the island.

The Neighborhood:
The Te Whau Peninsula is one of Waiheke’s quietest and most scenic areas, known for winding country roads, native birdlife, and access to coastal and bush walks. The setting feels rural and settled, yet remains central for getting around the island.
A short drive brings you to popular vineyards and dining spots including Te Motu, Tantalus Estate, Stonyridge, Wild on Waiheke, and The Heke Brewery & Distillery. Ostend Village is nearby for cafés, takeaways, supermarkets, and the Saturday market, while Onetangi Beach and Whakanewha Regional Park are also within easy reach for swimming, walking tracks, and open green spaces.
Getting Around:
There is easy parking at the property for guests who bring a car.
Buses run from nearby Ostend and Onetangi, connecting to all major wineries including The Heke, then through to Oneroa Village and the Matiatia passenger ferry. Taxis and rideshares are available but can be limited during peak times.
Other Things to Note:
This is a self-catered holiday home, not a fully catered stay. We provide a starter supply of essentials such as toilet paper, coffee, tea, and milk to help you settle in on arrival. Once these starter items have been used, guests are responsible for purchasing any additional supplies needed during their stay.
For properties with a fireplace, stays between 1 June and 30 September include a starter supply of firewood. Additional firewood can be purchased from local petrol stations, Woolworths, Four Square, and Mitre 10.
Beach towels are provided at properties with an available pool or spa. Guests staying at properties without a pool or spa will need to bring their own beach towels.
The beds in both bedrooms can be split into singles on request.
The property operates on rainwater tanks, please be mindful of water use, especially in summer.
